Huskers1236 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Built The Burrow the other day as I had most of the pieces from a lot I bought from a garage sale and bricklinked the other few I needed. Nice set, I can see why it took off like it did. Unfortunately don't have the figures, but the house goes well with our other HP sets. I really like the color scheme they used for this one. Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I built 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge. It is hands down the strangest set I've done. Not difficult really, but it uses techniques I've never seen before. The finished product is really cool, though. I had planned to sell it on, but I might display it for a while. Ebay is flooded with them right now, anyway. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Yeah, I would assume 6210, 7675, and 7676 are popular sales right now since the new models have come out. Which is why I sold mine last year when the rumors were looking pretty concrete. Quote
tormentalous Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Just completed Battle at the Black Gate. Nice set but it would look better with another one attached to it. Quote
Fcbarcelona101 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Town Plan. Great set, must have for CITY layouts! Quote
boxofcorey Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 6211 - Imperial Star Destroyer. Boring interior, ugly top of the ship, just not a fan of this build at all. Might be one of the few that I quickly deal away as I don't like it's display potential. edit - Might cover the outside with flat gray pieces, hide the studs. Maybe that will help? haha Quote
El Guapo Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Built the Sponge Bob Flying Dutchman. Pretty fun little build...nothing great. Got it for $10 so no harm. My son will play with it as is, then it'll probably join the general lego population at my house. Quote

DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Tonight I built 9495 Gold Leader Y-wing. I love it. The Y-wing always appealed to me in the films. This is my first Lego build if it, and I'm keeping it until I get a 10134 UCS Y-wing. I think this set is really awesome too. Its a solid Y-wing. Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Just finished 7964 Republic Frigate. This is a great build. Sturdy and balanced, lots of greebling and fiddly bits like antennae and guns, and it's big. I like it a lot more than I thought I would. Could use better minifigs I guess. Still, it's more fun than I had with 7965 Falcon. Quote
exciter1 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I'm building the Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle today. I built bag 1 this morning, but I have to spend several hours on the tractor now mowing, mowing, mowing. It seems like it's all I've done this Summer. My son loves the bats and took them right over to his SH: Bat Cave and has been going nuts for a couple hours with them. Quote
CNH1974 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Some vintage train: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=7816-1 http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=7814-1 http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=7834-1 I have 7740 in a pile somewhere but I do not think it is complete. Fcbarcelona101 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 After taking care of the lawn for a couple hours under the always friendly Florida sun I sat down and relaxed building Market Street Quote
Gondorian Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I built the Extremis Sea Port Battle (well, my son did most of it). The boat is bigger than it looks on the box and the missiles are nicely done. It's definitely worth picking up, as an investor, for the War Machine figure. I've bought about 6 copies, so I didn't have to face the open-or-not dilemma. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I finally had enough time to sit down and build something the other night. I opened up my second Log Cabin set and built the 2nd alternate design, Country Retreat. (Images here purely for referance.) It's an okay little design but like many Creator sets, you can tell all the bricks and effort went into the main 'experienced' build. This alternate is really small but does feature some furnishings at least. Amusingly, it uses the same exact floorplate arrangment as the main model. It does have some cute facets about it and plenty of room for additions. A lot of leftover parts from this one. If I can find another of this set, I may just build the first alternate design, a River Hut. After that, I have a few odd ideas of combining them all into one larger wooden shanty or something. Quote
Fcbarcelona101 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I'm almost done with what I now think is one of the most impressive LEGO sets ever released: Quote
matt1147 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I'm almost done with what I now think is one of the most impressive LEGO sets ever released: Jealous! One day I will own the Imperial Flagship! Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Better get it soon! 6 months ago they were going for $350. Right now there's an auction with 6 hours left. It's at $455! Quote

Gondorian Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I'm building the Turtle Lair. I really like it the design and pieces you get. I think I will build my MOCs (designed for being played with) in this style. Quote
BuckeyeFanDan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Finally opened up the Haunted House I have had since last Christmas and built it to display for Halloween. It took me about 9 hours over a 3 day period. It was a really enjoyable build and it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. I really like the sand green color and all of the little details that are in this set! 2 Quote
terrymc4677 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Today I built a 10144 sand crawler with my son. What a great set! It took us about four hours off and on. I just put it up for sale on eBay for $249. It is 100% complete with all figs, manual, and box. My ID is scoob222000 if you want to check it out. Tomorrow we are going to build the 10198 tantive IV. Bsusanka Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Last christmas! Wow that's some really good self control. I wasn't able to last a day after I got my first one. Quote
