Finally got around to building part of the $15 bag I got on CL. Midi-MF is short 9 pieces and Y-Wing is short ~15 and the minifigures except R2. Do I sell or keep the MF?

The midi mf is good for swooshing

And I love thay y wing. Sold mine but really should have kept it

latest builds.

Tydirium is great, nice build, nice figs, looks good on it's own and great set for play, will do great once it’s retired.  But, we all knew that, right?

The Imperial Assault Carrier was a bit of a surprise, really enjoyed it.  Build is fair enough, not too repetitive, lots of mini-builds that get bolted on to the main structure. It’s full of play features, technics handle (similar to the ISD) so swoosh-able, solid structure (nothing falls off), secret compartments, missiles, stun shooters, ability to drop Tie fighters on your cat. Great play set ship.  But it’s a really ugly ship

So much fun. But really, really ugly.

No clue what it’d do in after EOL, can’t image they will be much AFOL demand, but it’s a really fun set. Figs may let it down a little.  I only have the one built at the moment.  Likely will get more.

I agree with you, the Assault Carrier looks horrible, as AFOL I won't buy it. As investment? Only at a very very deep discount. Same story as MTT.

Built the Civil War Airport Battle set yesterday with the help of my son.  The Quinjet is really small, about half the size of the original.  Without seeing the movie yet, not sure if this is intentional or if they are just saving pieces.  Giant Man is really cool when done and a pretty simple build.  Too bad on the stickers for him, but it comes out pretty good.  Getting an extra Ant-Man statue was nice of Lego too.

Finished a pair of townhouses from the 10218. I mirrored one, have not decieded which way I will place them. Going to add another townhouse with the pet shop, should make a nice residential block for my town.

Looks good... I'm gonna be doing this as well, although i'm not sure I'll mirror mine. I will also change one of the doors to red or blue and the flowers on the sills and garden to different colours.

For yours I prefer  the doors on the out side.

Yea I'm going to change the flowers and the gardens in the back a bit. I want to change a few other details too just for some variety. Different doors is a good idea. Thinking about doing one in a different color too.

I think the doors on the outside is the way to go. The porches on the back face each other that way, looks better.

Started messing around with some of my macro filters...The depth of field is literally razor thin. I was about 4" in front of these guys while shooting , maybe less...I think I will begin shooting a few more mini figs like this...I like the results but have to play around more with the subject matter, sharkie and chen were just the first victims to get shot.

I shoot with a Nikon D7000 and just use little macro filters on a new lens I haven't even tried out in the open yet. Just a little kit 55 - 200 b/c it has a smaller filter size like my 50mm which wasn't working. Just use the flash on the camera and I didn't use a tripod which next time I will. It's too hard to try and handhold when the DOF is literally less than 1". I can shoot for the face next time and I am sure we'll see improvement  @Sharkbait:)

A little behind, but this is what I did this week after buying my first collection last weekend for $200. Passenger Plane #3181,

Destiny'Bounty #9446, and Epic Dragon Battle #9450. I checked all the pieces for each set and recorded them (mostly some minifigs and weapons missing), built each set, broke them down into the individual bags.  In an epic noob i.e. Move I took a bunch of pics during the airplane build but not of finished product. Plane is complete except for manual 1. Unfortunately the missing Ninjago figs range from $5-$20 each

Pics of the 3 builds plus the lot itself.

Thought I would test out the new GS7 Edge camera capabilities today and built a little stand to shoot this on for a min. I think the camera takes some pretty detailed shots for a phone. Figured a little ship could use a little company. :)

Not sure if my pics really do it justice but i got my final bricklink order in to complete a Helms deep and uruk hai army lot that I got 95% complete.  Also added another Uruk hai army and went slightly overboard on eBay getting a few more elves, orcs and wargs to flesh it out.
Massive LOTR fan and these make a great display piece IMO - just wish i had more room to fully do it justice :)

Kids' bday today - Got executive permission to build something too, so we built: 41122 Adventure Camp Treehouse (still unfinished), 30398 Adventure Bridge (both my daughter's projects), 75102 Poe's X-Wing (my son) and 21303 Wall-E (me, yay!). My son, ever the charmer, wanted to give his sister a present too so he bought the Rey constractible from me that I got during the May the 4th sale at LEGO.com for $6.50 (no, I did not upcharge :) ). She built it immediately (Rey is her favorite SW character). Here's our breakfast nook during these festivities:
