Can't decide on tonight's build. 42025 technic cargo plane, wall-e or the new lego maze? I was going to build the ecto 1 last night. Got a 2nd one yesterday and was going to crack it open but then my boy wanted to build the Titanium Dragon so we're finishing that up tonight. I was thinking of picking up the maze today when I go to the lego store for the mini-build...and get a Mr. Freeze while I am there...but not sure I want to dole out retail on that maze even though it'll be a while before it drops in price.... I'd go w/the maze tonight Quote

I'd go w/the maze tonight I would usually wait for a price drop before buying any lego sets but really liked the look of the maze and had enough VIP points to cover the cost and get me the Mr Freeze. 2 Quote

I'd go w/the maze tonight If you have the 100 VIP points coupons from the calendar from last Christmas, you can use those when buying something small (a discounted CMF?) and then use the points towards the Maze. That's how I got mine for $53.50 all in (after redeeming 400 VIP points). Needed to add a small item to get Mr Freeze as well (added an Easter Chick). 2 Quote

Well worth the money, I hope LEGO Shop at Home raises the limit on this set once it's been out for a while as it's certainly a set I'd want to give as a gift. 9 Quote
Brian Briggs Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Today I built Tapsy (41561). It's the only Mixel from the latest series that I've gotten so far as it was easily my favorite right from the beginning. The articulation of arms and legs is quite good. The most exciting part is the printed drumhead. At some point I surely will re-use for a MOC. 4 Quote
Popular Post Fenix_2k1 Posted April 7, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2016 Last night was wall-e build but not grabbed a photo yet. Tonight was my first architecture set. I must admit the Ideas and Architecture sets have such a premium feel compared with most sets, even the UCS sets. 12 Quote

The joys of ideas sets is that so far I haven't run into any stickers! & I would say Wall-E would be the best build. Nice little set it is 1 Quote
Fenix_2k1 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Yeah I'd have to say apart from the missing piece that's on its way from Lego I was impressed with the value of the Wall-E set. It's a good chunk of lego for £40 Quote
Quacs Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 The Tumbler from 7888 - what a great vehicle. I officially own every System scale Batmobile - review to come. 4 Quote
Atlan88 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Build an old and used Y-Wing which was a chore due to missing parts. However, I ll keep building used sets since the new ones in my possession are for reselling. 1 Quote

This is what I usually do, especially with star wars sets although my TFA Millennium falcon was a bit of a pain with around 10 pieces missing. 1 Quote
Sprocket77 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Just finished the Scudeira Ferrari Truck. Was a Christmas present, set looks cool once finished, but if I see another sticker again in my life, I'll scream. 1 Quote

thoroakenfelder Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I built the Rhino and Sand man kit as well as the Clash of Heroes. Tried something different with the pictures, hopefully the reviews are interesting when I finally get all the pics edited and text written. 1 Quote

Brian Briggs Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Today I had some fun building Merlok's Library 2.0 (70324) from everyone's favourite theme. For some reason, I only found this set available at LEGO LEGO Shop at Home. Originally, I only wanted the set for one minifigure: Ava Prentis. The Crust Smasher was of no use to me and is already packed for retail. I also considered selling off Lance but he grew on me and looks like a keeper now. It took me about an hour to build the set. In my opinion, the final result doesn't resemble a library at all but I assume that it's true to the look in the animated show. As I will disassemble Merlok's Library 2.0 again and don't see a use for those transparent orange pieces yet I refrained from applying the stickers. There are quite a few useful parts for future-MOCs. These include several printed pieces exclusive to this set (the black slope and the round 2x2 tile are available elsewhere AFAIK). 6 Quote

Me and my son recently built the Ford F150 Raptor and 32 Hot Rod set. It's really cool but waaaaay too many stickers. Quote
feed Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Wasn’t going to bother with it, but I managed to get hold of a used one at a good price and after building a bunch of SW sets, it was nice to build something that was asymmetrical and not grey. Fairly straight forward and the mini builds are great, it’s a standard dolls house really. The roof is annoying as you only have to look at it and it falls off so I’ll mod that, and it could maybe do with being another brick taller, so i may do something with it. But otherwise I’m totally sold on it. 7 Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I've been bitten by the LEGO ship bug. Not sure if I know where to stop. This made an appearance at my TRU yesterday and I decided I couldn't resist. My 4 year old loves it. Wife digs it to. So fun techniques to it and best surprise - it has wheels. The wheel movement works the paddle wheels and the oars. I might even do a write up on this one. We had a good time putting it together. We also built the Knight's Cycle 30371 polybag 9 Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Built a few more polys today: 30262 Gorzan's Walker 30312 Demolition Driller 30397 Olaf's Summertime Fun 3 Quote
redghostx Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 My story is boring compared to the last few but I built the Flatiron Building to distract me. I wasn't looking forward to the build because of how small the finished product is but I was really surprised and how it ended up. It looks fantastic with other architecture sets around it and was a very enjoyable, if slightly repetitive build. This is also a good set for people to part out or to use the parts to make your own MOC with. 8 Quote
Popular Post TheGallows Posted April 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2016 Picked up this lot for £12 a while back, and just got round to building it with the nipper last night. God those old style instructions are hard work on the eyes, made so many mistakes. 11 Quote
