Popular Post midbenne Posted March 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 26, 2016 Really enjoyed this build, mostly b/c my almost 6 yo did it himself. Love the turquoise bricks too. Side note question for any reading...I went to the Science & Industry last week and got several pictures of the new exhibit there. Pretty impressive. Where would be the best place to post some of those being that I certainly didn't "build" them? 11 Quote

Sfcommando14 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 My daughter got the Olaf poly and I got the Shadow Troopers for Easter so we built those. I like Olafs floaty reindeer and the Shadow Troop minifigs are as BA as I thought they would be. 1 Quote
Quacs Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Kids got one Chicken Suit guy each, girl got the honeybee keychain, boy got the Aaron keychain. No building though! 1 Quote
Phil B Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 FO TIE, Advanced TIE and Poe's X-wing poly's for my son as part of the Easter egg hunt; Olaf's summer time fun, Friends popstar and parrot polybags for my daughter. Love the X-wing, really nice looking build. FO Tie also really good looking. 2 Quote
Popular Post Alpinemaps Posted March 27, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 27, 2016 Between a birthday this week and Easter we had a few things to build today. 41089 Little Foal 10665 Spider-Man: Spider-Car Pursuit 70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon Morro Dragon looks and builds so much better than I expected. I really liked it. 10 Quote
Curtis Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I built the milano today. Really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure at first because I hadn't seen the movie yet. After watching the movie and then building it I made sure to buy more on clearance and strategically buy other random clearance sets to build more in different colors. My sons room is going to be awesome once I find the time to build them and hang them. Quote

For the photo I placed it between 10246 and 41101 which were built in the past two weeks. Some people complain about the built being repetitious but I didn't mind that. What I did find noticeable when I opened the bags was the absence of a brick seperatator as Its regular inclusion in bigger sets is something one gets accustomed to with time. I still have a second GE to realize an extension of this modular building at some point. The parts of two GEs might not be enough though Did you MOC the back of the Friends Hotel 41101 to make it more like a modular? I'm thinking of doing that but is wondering if others have the same idea. Quote

What I did though was replacing all the visible gold and grey parts of the grand piano with their black counterparts. In my opinion, it looks much nicer now. I also started building another set big set. A few small models are already completed: 4 Quote
feed Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Over the holidays. Got to say, somewhat disappointed, it’s much smaller than I expected. No doubt it makes for a great play set, but the build, not so much.. 4 Quote
Popular Post Brian Briggs Posted March 29, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2016 @feed: Is that ISD 75055? The box of that set is quite big so that's surprising. Finished building that Batman set with the exception of Batmobile and Batcopter and the superhero minifigures. Those are already packed for sale to recoup parts of the original costs. It was a fun build and the final result is more impressive than I imagined. A lot of people complain about the set but I think it's cool. I'm not a fan of superheroes and Batman though. And this is how it could look like if integrated into a modular street. 17 Quote
feed Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 It is a 75055 and it could just be my expectation, really just felt small a £120 RRP set and as I’ve been moving them at £170ish feels even smaller for that. Secondary market prices for some sets surprise me. Quote

And to the last post - I really like the look of that modular wall, there is some potential there for creative people (not me) 1 Quote

Bold-Arrow Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I hear those things are a PIA to build , though the final product looks cool from the videos . Quote

It's actually not bad after the pieces are sorted. You pretty much have to open every bag though. Trial and error, but this build is pretty great so far. It's a heavy beast for sure. Quote
