Mathew Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Additional photos and thoughts: Wonderful set but not quite Rivendell in terms of aesthetics and build. Solid 9.5 overall. It’s a shame that the Fell Beast wasn’t included to begin with. Based on the interior art, I suspect it was but the bean counters came in at the 11th hour and changed that. 8 Quote
LegoWalker4 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Brick built Yoshi from Brick Journal, Issue 53, October 2018. Fortunately, I was able to BrickLink it all from one store. The issue had many Pokeman and Nintendo builds. 3 Quote

Mathew Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) Sorry, last set of pictures. I got the lighting just right to finally appreciate the aesthetic decision they made to go with reddish brown. It really does glow if you get the lighting just right which is a blend of blue and red LEDs. Also a side by side with Rivendell. Edited July 4 by Mathew 4 Quote
Mathew Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Finished up my Medieval Lego phase with the Lion Knight castle, Town Square and a classic: The Sea Serpent. All great sets though the Town Square was a step down from the castle in terms of build and overall quality. 6 Quote
Brick_Dude Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Completed the Disney Castle. One of those sets that I waited too long to purchase but was able to acquire with some help from a new friend. Enjoyed the build with the subtle touches to movies, characters from long ago. 8 Quote
LegoWalker4 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 (edited) Built the 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV. Great build, I like how it turned out and the included minifigures are solid choices. Lego did an awesome job recreating the iconic scene from both Episode IV (A New Hope) and Rogue One. Edited September 14 by LegoWalker4 3 Quote
LegoWalker4 Posted November 2 Posted November 2 (edited) Alternate build of the Pirate Snub Fighter to the Pirate Fang Fighter using Rebrickable instructions. Building tip: if building your own display stand, remove the Dark Tan Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Groove and 1 Stud in Center (Jumper) piece on the bottom of the fighter and replace it with two 2 x 6 plates for added stability (some bottom pieces came apart when I pushed a little when adding the stand). mvm1919 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Finished up the Black Panther bust that I got from Kohl's with the extra 50% off. Not my favorite build, but it wasn't boring either. It looks really impressive when finished. 6 Quote
Popular Post keymomachine Posted November 6 Popular Post Posted November 6 I promised I would build the giant crane and I did! After callibrating(!!!) it with a bag of rocks my daughter crafted a little paper basket to carry around some little squishmallows. The app works really well and I was impressed by the sensor features it has, like real time loading calculation and balance, still though, kind of a pain to take pictures of when you have to use your phone to control it! Also it's HUGE. I've got it sitting atop a 3x3 IKEA Kallax unit here and it's hanging off both ends, dwarfing the Medieval Blacksmith shop. 11 Quote
Pseudoty Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I had to scroll back and look and was very surprised 5 months off since my last build. I had ordered 9 of these from Target and 3 from Amazon on the $40 sale and one of the Target sets came with all 4 seals popped, that and a rainy day finally so figured I would get back at it and give this one a try. I don’t think I have ever built a Friends set before and besides from a few questionable color choices and the mini dolls this was an amazing build especially for the price. Although it is open backed and looks incomplete I guess that is to enhance the play features for the intended audience vs the display. I had previously ordered the parts to do the Brick Artisan 2X build so will probably do that next and then possibly the amazing 3X MOC to better help decide if I will purchase the Icons/Ideas version if and when it goes on sale. thedingman5 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Looking at the 2x and 3x versions, too. Much easier to see the plants, etc., in this set vs. the new Ideas one. This one's on permanent display with the Mrs. approval, which is saying something! 2 Quote
Pseudoty Posted Sunday at 09:08 PM Posted Sunday at 09:08 PM Brick Artisan 2X LEGO Friends Botanical Garden MOC. I highly doubt I will take this apart to do the 3X MOC and just wait for a deal on the new Botanical Garden set. 6 Quote
Pseudoty Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hooked on this Botanical Garden theme. This one has 29 numbered PLASTIC bags, still not a paper bag to be had this entire year, one bag per number for your building convenience. Only 5 stickers but for the price of course wish they were all prints. The clear domes are packaged separately so hopefully they won’t be scratched. I don’t recall ever building a set that comes on 2 full baseplates. Assembly Square and Ninjago City were 1 1/2 baseplates. Quote
