speedsausage
I was contemplating building that one next. Let's see how you like it So far so good. Even though it is spherical, it's not a symmetrical build like most ships are, which is nice.
Huskers1236
I don't have a picture right now, but changed my ToO into Barad Dur by altering the top and adding the "eye". I blatantly copied Missing Brick on Eurobricks that did the same thing by using the little flames with base pins and making arcing flames all around the eye that I made. Then using light bricks to light it up in the dark, it looks pretty cool. We have a LotR mockup on a table in the basement that has Helm's Deep at one end, Rivendell in the middle, and Black Gate/ Barad Dur on the other with random stuff in between. I can't fit every scene, but it looks pretty good for what it is. I'll try to get a picture in but here's a link to get the idea of it. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84159&hl=barad

Popular Post Huskers1236
Here's some quick pictures, it's a work in progress. A mixture of our own stuff with Lego models because, frankly, I'm not very good at doing my own thing.
speedsausage
Smooshed for 16 CMF's series 12 a few weeks ago. Just opened them all and confirmed 16 for 16!
Alpinemaps
And all the LOTR fan boys are geeking out over it I'm not a LOTR fan boy (I've only see the LOTR movies, haven't read any of the books, haven't seen the Hobbit movies), and *I* am geeking out over that! I especially like how everything looks so tiny compared to the tower (due to the perspective from which you've taken the shot ^.^). Also the Barby (or something like it) house is perfectly situated for Sauron to peep through the window.
Amin80
I finished doing the Tower of Orthanc today, let's just say I won't be buying any sets larger than 600 pieces in the future. It looks good once it's built, but building it was just very tedious, I did not enjoy the experience at all, as opposed to building a smaller piece like the council of elrond which I love and have it displayed in my living room. This one, I just don't think I will be displaying.
seapotato
I was building the iron man Malibu mansion attack but quite a few pieces are missing. The minifigs are all there. Is it worth bricklinking the missing stuff or just sell as is?
naf
6987 Message Intercept Base - pieced together from a bulk lot I bought. Saw the big trans-yellow piece and took a chance that the rest of the set was in there. Only missing a few common parts that I easily found in my collection. It was also missing the crater baseplate, but I had a stack of those on hand. The trans-yellow pieces are in great shape, very clear. This is the only Blacktron I set I needed to complete my collection, very happy to finally have this. It's sooo cool.

I remember constructing the Haunted House was starting to become a chore before finishing up the first floor but I pressed on and it is way past wicked cool standing there on my desk overlooking everything in the room. justapilgrim
Bought a discounted Manbat attack for my 4 year old. The bat copter is pretty sweet for a little set.

Ciglione
Last Night I built my used Queen Anne's Revenge. What a marvelous ship! I enjoyed every minute building it. Now I proudly display it in our livingroom. Even my wife was thrilled. Maybe tonight I will build the Black Pearl.
