What do you guys think about the similarities between the ghost train and twisted time train? ( http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=6497-1 )

The whole non-motor and non-rails thing makes me worry about the investment (still gonna get one...just wondering)

They are similar to a degree but I believe The Ghost Train has a better opportunity to appreciate due to the whole Halloween tie-in. Since it isn't an actual train, it won't gain as one would but the numbers should be good regardless.

That is an interesting comparison. It will be interesting to see, but I do agree that since the Monster Fighters line is so strong as it is, this will be a must have for most people who collect this series. Having said that, I wouldn't pay retail for these at this point, but the current price on Amazon is the second lowest it has ever been and short of getting these on clearance, this is a pretty good deal.

Generally, I feel the monster fighter line has a much broader appeal. It is the single series that brought me back to Lego.

idk why people have such little faith in this set... Besides have some boring mini figrues there are many rare peices in this set... worth picking up around 5 while theyre this cheap

It's still a pretty cool 'train' regardless.

Yeah it sucks they limit us to only 2. So now I have to contact all my friends who have Amazon accounts to hook it up. Part of hustling I guess. Dang...I gotta admit, HUSTLING IS TOUGH!!! ON THE DAILY GRIND!!!

Yeah I would think buying this low would be safe........the problem is this set has been discounted heavily for a long time and I feel a lot of people have bought them cheap, which means it will be that much longer before we see a significant increase once the set EOL's.
