Is there really any money in flipping these? Shipping eats into the profits, so that leaves selling locally. I remember last year people selling them on kijiji for a profit of $20 but do I really want someone coming to my house to make a measly $20? There are 2 pallets of these on the floor since yesterday at my local Walmart. Picked up 2. (sets not pallets haha)

I sold a few last year for $70, a couple for $75 and a couple of my last ones for $80, so a little better than $20 profit (locally). Fortunately I have a few locations less than 2 minutes from my house that are convenient to do a quick Lego drop, so if you can find somewhere that isn't too much of a pain to get to, set that as a meeting place. I'm realistically hoping to make a couple hundred in total profit for not too much in terms of labor.

Also, in terms of shipping the boxes are substantially shorter this year so I think it might be easier to box and ship them. I'm sure there are folks outside of major cities that don't have many wal-mart options who might be interested. I figure even at $100 shipped the buyer is still getting a pretty good deal regarding price per piece so it might be sellable/shippable.

I sold one a day for 2 weeks last year in the Toronto core. Plenty of parents down here who are happy to pay inflated prices to get that perfect gift for little  Timmy or Suzie. How else to explain the existence of Toys Toys Toys with their permanent markup? I only have 1 to sell this year (unless something changes) so I recommend doing craigslist/kijiji ads using downtown as an area. Lots of safe and crowded areas down here to do the exchange.

I bought a lot of these last year and sold all them local in a few weeks.  From what I can see, these will not perform as good as last year, there seems to be a lot more stock.

This years is a nicer selection of parts and the box looks nicer too. The only reason these won't perform as well as last year is because every joe schmuck is buying them and trying to sell them on Kijiji for pennies profit. One local guy here who obviously has no idea what he's doing in his ad said "I grabbed the last 4, what kind of offer will you make me?" Seriously? People like that just make me shake my head wondering what the hell are you thinking?

Maybe.  I know last year I never saw even one available in the store.

They pretty much sold out the same morning they came out. A lot of regular shoppers bought them but I know at least one Walmart around me was cleared out by a local in a big way - I was told about it from a person who ended up buying one from me. :)

I think it may have been local collectors trying to get bricks though since I never saw that quantity up on Kijiji where most local cheapos try to sell to avoid eBay & PayPal fees.

Yes I got banned last year and I am using other account and credit card to place order this year.  It always works until today.:boredom:

Have you ever returned products, or other such actions they wouldn't approve of?

Seriously, I have bought a ton from walmart.ca, but I would never return a product or complain for any reason.

I never returned products to walmart.ca but I did recently have a missing order with them.  I tried to avoid shipping package to my home address (as I got banned last year) and I sent one order to "grab and go".... walmart.ca shipped this order using canada post and drop to another city not my hometown.  I called them last week and they are still chasing my order.
