I sometimes overhear people fighting with CS the honour an incorrect flyer price, and the CSR will just say "did you not see the sign? the error was posted." and that's all they need to waive whatever laws apparently. Reminds me of all those TRU ebay %75-90 off cancellations

At lease we had some recourse posting negative feedback and getting a 15% off coupon.

Obviously the last time is subjective... Online purchasing takes the traditional model of shopping and changes it all - you never interact with a person so no reasonable effort to inform of a pricing mistake can occur. Frankly, the law should be changed to you "you make a mistake, you honor it" but it will never be, because, well, politics.

I got confirmation for 9 exo and 1 service truck. No word on the 3 cargos.

In fact down here in Quebec, the law doesn't at all permit such an error " in store or on internet " http://www.torontosun.com/2015/02/10/price-error-on-sears-website-angers-quebecers "So far, Sears has refused to change its position, saying that the mistake was made in good faith and was simply a misplaced comma. "Sears has demonstrated good will by honouring numerous price errors," said Sears Canada vice-president communications Vincent Power. "However, this error was exceptional." That stance is not shared by Quebec's Office of Consumer Protection. "Our lawyers believe that the merchant must honour the posted price," said OCP communications director Charles Tanguay." I've had similar issue with Archambault, worng picture for AT-At and Micro At-at .. and I've won 6 sets 129.99$ for 12.99$ since the picture wasn't the good one, just a few days after Sears error.

BRB moving to Quebec... i kid; even $12.99 AT-AT's couldn't make me move there! :P
bigreen
Just got confirmation that 3 of my 5 Cargo Train orders have been shipped, that's far better than the worst case I have been expected. To be honest, my "Lego business" mainly relies on Walmart to supply profitable stuff.
jeff_14
To be fair, Quebec's consumer protection laws are pretty loopy. These are the people who insist that Dunkin' Donuts use a full French translation in their name and who send people to measure whether the French signs are sufficiently larger than English ones. If you make a mistake and post a notice of error in a timely manner then that's good enough for most people. Really doubt the "Office of Consumer Protection" has much teeth against the civil provision already in the Competition Bureau's section 74.05 of the Federal Competition Act. peenutz
Ok, so I'm posting this for Lego Rules since he inquired. Everything I ordered shipped... I'm too embarrassed to say the exact quantity, but needless to say it was over 10 each of the Exo, truck and train... and they all shipped, so there seems to be no rhyme or reason to Walmart Ban Hammer like Lego.com...

Wow. Congrats. May I ask, across how many orders were they? Like, did you order 10 in one order? Or one per order?
Stragus
Congratulations to everyone who managed to grab these excellent deals! I was too late, I hesitated when I saw the Cargo Train at 50% (the only thing left), and in the end could only grab a bunch of Milano Spaceship Rescues. 25 minutes ago, Brickson said: Wow. Congrats. I have never placed an order with qty higher than 8, I keep each order under $300, and never had trouble.

To protect the integrity of the boxes of the larger sets I actually did a bunch of orders of 2 for trains and 3 for trucks (assuming that's how many that come in a Lego shipping box). For the exos I just made two large orders (dozen each), but that shipped too. Let's just say my email folder is full of walmart confirmations and receipts. I learned real quick back when TRU made the 90% off mistake, they only canceled my orders that were over a certain $ amount (like $200). Kind of like they sorted the orders by price and killed the highest to mitigate the damage. So far it's looking like Walmart isn't shipping 2 of the 3 cargos, even though they were all separate orders. megahuts
There was definitely a screw up. I bet someone lost their job. As an aside, if 50% off is so good, why don't you folks buy wholesale to sell on Amazon. Or does Lego have a smaller than 2x Wholesale -> Retail markup? gregpj
I got a shipping notice at 8 tonight that my 2 trains and 2 service trucks shipped. I know in the technic thread I said leave the 42008 service trucks alone but 50% off was just too good of a deal.. I'll probably keep one of each at that price!
