AFOL Pedro Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Thoughts? http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/tag/4799582866.html Asking for 200, BUT... using the lot calculator (as used) it is ~$317. Should I stay away? Go for it? Try to haggle down? Quote
Victorymike18 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Just my opinion (and I'm pretty new to this) that might make a better long-term investment as (I think) those are mostly pretty new sets. You could buy up the missing pieces while the prices are low, then sit on them... For a quick flip, I think the cost to resale difference is too slim to be worthwhile, unless you can haggle. Do you look to resell whole, or part-out? Quote
Mos_Eisley Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 If you want those sets for yourself, it's a decent enough deal I guess. But none of those sets are going anywhere investment-wise. Quote

MartinP Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I agree with Mos and Jaisonline. They're great sets to own for a SW collection, and I would buy them at that price for my collection, but I don't see it being worth it to buy the lot for $200. For you to make any good money from the lot, your buy-in price would have to be around $125-$150. Quote
Migration Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 That ads been up for three days. Offer $125, let them talk you up to $150, then flip away. If nothing else you could keep a set or two and subsidize them by selling off the rest. Quote
labfreak7 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Ok, I just bought this for about 320. Help! Do you think everything is there for 6086? I counted 9 bags. I think I did ok . Price was slightly out of my comfort zone. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 is this for personal or flipping Quote
labfreak7 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 It's the pet shop., fire brigade and palace cinema. Plus 6086. Question is whether or not they are complete. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 It's the pet shop., fire brigade and palace cinema. Plus 6086. Question is whether or not they are complete. Start building and find out, for the modulars at least. As for sealed bags in a 30 year old set, no idea. Quote
labfreak7 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Yep, time to work. Thanks for the input. I'll update as I complete a set. Quote
