hendrikdejager Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 A friend of mine needs to send me something from the USA, it is about 1500 grams with a value of $600. I can't find the costs of shipping incl. insurance for this, could someone from the USA perhaps help me out? What would the costs be for: Package ~1500grams, $600 value, insured to The Netherlands. Thank you in advance. Quote

minicoopers11 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 $35.66 to send via USPS Priority. $45.77 to send via USPS Priority Express. Print label via Paypal. Unless you need it really fast, there's no reason to choose Express. Value is too high to use First Class. Quote

Bernard74 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 That sounds plausible for shipping, but bear in mind that an item worth $600 may also be subject to import duties and value added tax (BTW).http://www.belastingdienst.nl/wps/wcm/connect/bldcontentnl/belastingdienst/prive/douane/goederen_ontvangen_uit_het_buitenland/ Quote
