TheOrcKing Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Well at least this confirms two characters for the second series of Simpsons minifigures. I have no idea where the dog will end up unless there really will be a second set of the Kwik-E-Mart or perhaps he will get stuck beside one of the other fourteen possible characters. Please note these are works-in-progress. Source: The Brick Fan 5 Quote
GhostDad Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 It concerns me that the original source for these photos was in China. It wouldn't be the first time counterfeiters have come out with fake figures before the real things even hit stores. 1 Quote

It would have been strange if the leak came from Mexico Quote

GhostDad Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Maybe. Most Lego image leaks seem to originate in Europe. I think Lego is completely insane to be locating any manufacturing in a country that rips off intellectual property with impunity. 1 Quote
seapotato Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Interesting. Simpsons series one can still be found everywhere...im not sure if I'll pick any up in the 2nd series. Quote
cladner Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) hoyvin glavin. buuuhhh - oh no - it's happening again. last time this happened i ended up with 34 complete sealed sets of simpson minifigures and we all know how that HASN'T turned out. Edited November 24, 2014 by cladner 1 Quote
exciter1 Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I'll buy one set. I have one set of the first series, one Simpson's House, and I'll probably just have one of these. Then, I'm good. 1 Quote
someasiandude Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I have all of Series 1 and the Simpsons House and will be getting all of Series 2 and any other building they release for the Simpsons...just for a personal collection. Quote

My 6 year old loves minifigs. She has no point of reference for the Simpsons (she's never seen it). I overstocked Series 1 minifigs. I'll just be going with one set of these. And I'll be bummed that we'll have a "break" between regular CMF series for another series of these. 1 Quote
ediebrickette Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 What if instead the plan is to be sold in "battle" packs or in an extension of smaller sets? We know the next CMF series is in production Quote
@rtisan Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 The problem with these is there is too much quantity of the first Series readily available. There is more than enough to off-set the demand at this point, pretty much every retail store I`ve been in capable of carrying the first series has plenty. I`m not even a Simpsons fan but I still bought 1 complete set which I`m keeping sealed for the collection, but none for investment. The same will likely be true of Series 2, it`s unfortunate given the valuable subject matter, but what do you do when you have so much quantity flooding the market other than not buy any. Chinese fakes don`t even need to be taken into consideration, Lego`s made sure of that haha. Quote
Cross Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I have been a fan of The Simpsons since '89 and feel like I owe this set some attention. As a collector I am thrilled... as an investor, I just do not know. Sad to say, the show (IMO) is nowhere near what it was. And I worry about the appeal to future generations, in spite of FX buying the entire catalog of episodes. For the long-term investor, is anyone going to care about these mini-figs in ten years? I hope so; I do not know. Glad to grab one of each for the fan within me, plus an extra set for investment, but beyond that- I am unsure. Do you guys feel differently? Quote
Brickshopper Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Just thought to add this..... what if a Lego Simpsons video game is in the works...The games seeming to drive demand it would make sense I could see these figures being more sought after with a good marketing tie in...The simpsons Lego show had some buzz seems World of Simpsons have not done well could be wrong... They look fake or of cheap quality, the color seems slightly off also. Maybe just my monitor, but just wanted to point that out. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) series 2 possibly Homer in his Sunday Best Marge in her Sunday Best Bartman Lisa with Snowball II Maggie with Santa Edited December 24, 2014 by brickcrazyhouse Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 I have to admit getting a Bartman would be dorky cool but.... Quote
jerryherb Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I made a killing on series 1 complete sealed sets. Bought most packs at $1.48 target special. Sold for over $100/set Quote

You know the people who notice these and missed out on series 1 will pay a premium! Cha-Ching! I can hear Pink Floyd now. Quote
bricketycricket Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Smithers' and Krabappel's accessories are really well done. I had a good laugh at the Gordie Howe picture. Quote
meowsmeowsmeows Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Are all of the accessories likely printed tiles or are they stickers? If printed tiles, then perhaps the Kwik-E-Mart will have a number of specially printed pieces. Quote
