emes Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Does anyone own this set? Was it a good build...did you enjoy it? I have an opportunity to buy two of these at below RRP..any thoughts on long-term investment potential? Thanks! Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 It will probably do so so on the secondary market........I myself wouldn't buy more than 2. Quote

cvail8 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Meh. I don't think too many people are fighting to get their hands on these. A non-movie ship with weak minifigs... I'd stay away on investment. To build, GO FOR IT! Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I say do it.......build one and save one to invest in. It shouldn't take up too much room just sitting around, its not a huge set in terms of size Quote

To build, GO FOR IT!this is probably right, the only reasons I say go for it is because its star wars, below retail and a smallish set that won't take up to much space if he sits on it for a while. Wizkid23 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I bought one at regular retail when it came out, probably would not buy another one unless it was a good sale price...it's Star Wars though, so you really cant go wrong if you're getting it less than regular price.... Quote
emes Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Price is $30 each NIB. I might ask them if they'll take $20 each..if so I'll pop on it. Quote
cvail8 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Price is $30 each NIB. I might ask them if they'll take $20 each..if so I'll pop on it. Whoa... at that price, jump on 'em. You should be able to easily flip them for $50 each. Quote

cvail8 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 So definitely a flipper and not a keeper... Think about it this way... if you buy 2 for $50-60 total, you can sell one now that basically pays for both of them. Then you either have a free one to save away, or a free one to build. Either way, you win! Quote
Veegs Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 At that price, I would head back ASAP and snap'em up! Quote
emes Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 At that price, I would head back ASAP and snap'em up! They're closed on Sunday, wife will pick them up tomorrow...I'm out of town for the next 7 days Atlanta ==> San Ramon ==> Chantilly, VA Quote
Darth Lego Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I have that set and it is pretty awesome. As far as investment goes, I would try to get them cheap. 1 Quote
