ufema
I built my first vintage set. It was actually my first huge ship as a kid which had been misplaced years ago. Bought this one off ebay. It was a so great to assemble. If you listen closely towards the end you can hear how brittle the bricks while pulling apart the modules. Enjoy.
Locutus001
Hasn't been my time but I still have some of the minifigures of that series (though I actually do not know how and why... they've just always been there... magic!) Though this has not been one of my sets I still can feel the nostalgia. Nice Clip!
Jojoyojimbi
this was the set that I wanted so bad when I was a kid, I had the Battrax and smaller sets
Huskers1236
Had this one along with about all the Blacktron sets and loved them all. These were my bad guys, even with the smiling faces. Can't believe that was 1987, crap that doesn't feel like that long ago.

Can't believe that was 1987, crap that doesn't feel like that long ago. That's one of the main reasons I liked them so much. Put the mask down they can be serious, angry, sad, etc.

mscheaf
I had that as a kid. Had no idea what it was called. Thank you!
naf
This is the only Blacktron set I had as a kid and I thought it was awesome. The color scheme and asymmetrical design were 180% different from the other space sets that Lego was making. Unfortunately I didn't get any more Blacktron sets, but I remedied that over the last year I now have the complete Blacktron I collection.
j.hermit
This was my favorite set way back when. The original instructions got lost/misplaced, and I remember convincing my dad to send the $3 check to Lego and order another copy. That was probably '91 or so. A couple of years after Blacktron, when Pirates 1 came out, I took the all-black head from a ghost and used it to replace the standard yellow head on my Blacktron minifig. He's had that look for almost 20 years now.
TheOrcKing
Throwback Thursday, nice title with the Transformers movies style font. While I didn't have this model as a child, I do still have a couple of those Blacktron I characters. To me the torso print read as heavy duty offense soldiers or "Terminators". Space themes may come and go but there only be one true villainous army traversing the cosmos....Blacktron.
