Ed Mack Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Great story about LEGO Customer Service... Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I always wanna post stuff like this that is in the Lego news section but then I figure people on here are just like me and scour this site on a daily basis and see it anyway. Quote
Hansolo55 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I saw this on Facebook today, what a great story. Maybe I should call LEGO and say I lost my UCS Falcon and see what happens! :p Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Maybe I should call LEGO and say I lost my UCS Falconit happened to you too??? What are the odds???? Except I lost 3....... Quote
Talon Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I think this is great and Lego better go the extra mile to keep (reward) the customers who buy the Ultrasonic Raider! It is my observation that this set is one of the poorest selling Ninjago sets. I think people purchase this set in stores when they see all the other Ninjago sets are gone. On 1/3/13 I noticed one of the Walmarts near me actually had at least 50 of these on the shelves with no other Ninjago set in sight! No discounts on them, but they surely must be thinking about discounting them! Every store near me has these in stock - Target, Walmart, TRU, Shopko, Kmart. That being said, I would buy one if I see a deep discount like 50% or more. But then I would likely buy any Lego set I see with a deep discount, even those Star Wars planet things so many of you like! lol Quote
Blackjack Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I have recieved unsatasfactory pieces in sets many times and Lego has always sent me repacement parts. Quote
cobi Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Me to. They have replaced them pretty much with no questions asked. I was a little concerned because I had 3 sets in 2 months with problems. Death Star instrution book was missing a page Grand Emporium had a defective part that would not fit Pet Shop Came with to 2 instruction book #2's Quote
Teeird Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Man, I lost my Chrome Vader along with my old Jango Fett. Lego pls! All joking aside, cool story, surprised LEGO would do such a thing. Quote

TLG sent him a new one.....plus an extra fig....that is one of a kind apparently!!! Makes me feel all soft and fuzzy in the inside. LOL :P Quote

Yeah, I really just am interested in the SW ones and some of the large scale builds. Ninjago and Chima are a mystery to me..... Quote

TheDarkness Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I love the fact that not only did they replace it and give an extra, that the customer rep took the time to not only have a bit of fun, but make it a relevent lesson for the child along the way, They just about guaranteed the kid would grow into an AFOL! TheOrcKing Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I remember reading about this when Ed posted it earlier in January. Still a nice story. On a semi-related note, I recently used LEGO's customer service for replacement parts and that was very easy to do. Just entered the set name, picked what was missing from the list, clicked send and there you go. Waited a day for an actual confirmation by an employee that the parts will be coming in less than a week now. Excellent service. Quote
Anakinisvader Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I called LEGO Shop at Home and told them my son lost his solid gold C-3PO. I asked if they would replace it. They gave me the finger (I could literally see it through the phone). But, then they told me to have a nice day. They are really nice. :) Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I just went ahead and merged this topic with the one Ed started from before since both are about the same article and there was little need for both to be floating around in the forums. Quote
