Migration Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I was starting to sort my latest bulk lot today and while looking for an empty box I knocked over a large and growing stack of random instruction books that I've accumulated over the last four months or so. It got me wondering what others who sort any significant amount of bulk do with these. Do you sell them? I can't see much of a market for most of these. Some I file away in case some other bulk lot has the set but no instructions, but most just wind up in an ever growing pile. Quote
MartinP Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I usually keep them to save in case I get that specific set in another lot. Other times, when I know that I will not find that set again, I will sell the instructions. If they are really common sets, I would keep them. I would sell the less common ones. Quote
terrymc4677 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Put them on bricklink. Others may need them to complete sets from their bulk lots, and you can make a little money off of them. 1 Quote
vincevaughn Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 People are always looking for instructions. You can get 10 bucks for large manual easily. And the rare ones can go for hundreds of dollars to the right collector. Quote
Migration Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 Coming soon to Bricklink Instructions for set 7170, 9675, 8896, and 5970. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 The more sought after I keep, the others I sell to a local Bricklink store for cheap. I don't want them and am not going to spend the time trying to sell them individually. Quote
Ciglione Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I usually put them on Craig's list. Quote
redcell Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Save them up for a few years and then put together a bulk lot with the instructions and parts for those individual sets (assuming that you are building up an inventory stock of leftover parts from the bulk lots). It's an easy way to get rid of instructions and thin down your inventory. Quote
