  1. 1. Do you consider the Haunted House a modular house?

I almost missed out on this. Got only one on backorder. Was too greedy trying to wait till October for double VIP points.

BTW it's unlikely to come back, except for a few short minutes now and then.

Lego is not keeping any for Halloween either. If they can sell now why keep it to sell later if there would be no additional benefits to them?

Before May 4th people also hoped that Lego was keeping some SSDs for the sale, but that didn't happen.

I hope for you US guys that it will come back.

I ordered 2 of them on Tuesday online on German Online Shop and the status is still "Currently not available. Approx. shipping date 21.10.2014"

Do you think I will get my order?

Good point - I forgot about that.

Maybe this has been pointed out already, but if you go to LEGO Shop at Home and look under "Themes" Monster Fighters is no longer listed.  I know I looked a few days ago and it was still there.

I noticed that as well yesterday. That is when the buying frenzy seems to have started. I wonder if there has been an increase in sales for all the other monster sets?

So, do I take it a number of people wanted to skate the edge of retirement and missed out?

Seems like people like to procrastinate.  Maybe they were buying Exo Suits.  They will do it with R2-D2 as well.

I'm going to hold off buying my R2D2's till May 2015 when they are sure to have a 50% sale ..   :taunt:

Is R2 showing some signs as well?

I would say it is in the very early stages of retirement.  I'm curious to see how the new STAR WARS movies will affect the 10225.  Will it extend its life?  Maybe.

I agree with Ed for sure on R2. if you want some buy during October 2xVIP so you don't have to frantically search for them when it is eminently EOL.

Right.  This set can be around at retail for months, but the Double VIP points is a great time to buy it.  There is also a possibility of Triple VIP in late November, but as we all know, sets retire quickly in some cases and your opportunity evaporates.  The Haunted House was a good example of this.

I was nickle-and-diming, not procrastinating lol, but it was equally bad I guess.

Buying is easy and fun for me. But since I had a few Death Stars and a bunch of earlier mistakes piling up in a closet so I had to resist the urge.
