I was shocked. Every set at Lego and FAO were marked up 20%. I'm heading back to the city tonight and will go check and see if they put anymore on the shelves. If they do, and I don't buy them all, I'll postto this thread.

I picked up 4 for $80 on Friday at FAO Schwarz in NYC but I'm pretty sure I bought them out. I was like a kid in a candy store when I found them on sale.

Are you sure you're not getting the Haunted House and the Vampyre Castle confused? $80 is like 60% off!!

you know...you're right.

just kidding.  they were Haunted Houses.  i was wrong about the price though..they were $90 each.  So 50% off (although FAO sold them for $200 instead of $180).

it was a great day.  overall i found really good deals in B&M stores in NYC, sans the Lego store itself.  was pleasantly surprised.  still kicking myself for leaving Winter Cottage and Unimog at FAO.  i picked up one of the WC but they had at least one more at normal retail price.

So jealous. I didn't even realize FAO knew what a sale was exactly.

Great cos I still want one

Btw are those haunted Houses produced in new smaller LEGO boxes(like parisian restaurant) already or still big ones?

Debating whether to build one with the 5-year old or not... We put together a Vampyre Castle last year...

The BOX is the same size... No shrinkage here...

Sucks... the box size is one of the main reason I am hesitating to buy 1 (apart from funds)

We shall see :)

I signed up for Amazon's credit card because it came with a $50 gift card and 3% cash back. I used it on the Haunted House (around $137.00 total) for my first "big" set. Luckily our house is small so there won't be a lot of temptation to open, build and display it.

Let us know the codes... Are they also selling 05R4 run?

On the desktop/web version of the site is says "Item is under review" based on customer complaints, etc.

I'm guessing it will come back in stock but not sure when.

Usually caused when Custer support gets too many complaints. From what I heard from them, it's usually too many shipping damage cases.
