Stevenplays
They'll have it around in the US for another Halloween, just in time for 3X VIP points aswell. It's a good deal then, you're getting almost $30 in points. Also, LEGO themselves confirmed to thebrickshow.tv that it'll be around for quite some time, guessing 3-4 years, instead of the average 1-2 years. Take that with a grain of salt though, if they have bad sales during September through November [When they probably sell the most], I can see a new batch of sets not being produced. Sandwraith
Aww darn, was hoping to get some more with the next blanket %20 off MF. None of the TRU's in my area physically carry any of the big exclusives (except for AA). Not sure why, but it would be nice to see! Almost every set in the MF line is marked up at TRU Can. It's no wonder these things have been lingering. Even the VC at $99 barely moved.

Thanks for the info/tidbits. Maybe TRU.ca decided to just move on and use that shelf space for other sets/themes. Because it's limited availablity for Canadians at retail stores (unlike US), I've raised my listing price on local ads for better margins and will just wait for right buyers. No rush. Mint sets are safely in my closet. As far as I know our Chapters, Walmarts, Targets, Sears, BB, FS, Amazon.ca, etc etc don't carry the Haunted house. Great looking set/theme and pieces. I hope the Haunted House is gone by the end of year anyways

If we had way better sales than just 20% on VC I might buy...our US friends have seen CRAZY prices on it (not surprised). I actually flipped one VC but it took awhile and margin not there so I only carry the HH in the Monsters theme. Oh, I lied...one of my first investment purchases in this Lego hobby was Swamp Creatures lol. What a dud. Rookie mistake. I just really like the minifig and it was on sale so I bought 12 or so...most are still sitting in my closet haha. I will have one less Swamp Creature in my inventory soon as I will let my son open it on the plane ride/family trip
lobo1969
The MF line in my area seems to be very plentiful, not really moving and plenty of all the sets. That is not to say LEGO doesn't sell well here because I think it does but MF is not catching on so I've been waiting for a significant sale better than 20% off.... Personally I love the line! Never seen a HH on the shelf here at any TRUs though lots of other exclusives are on the shelf.

Redundant...we can tell by your avatar you like this theme haha. Can't be a Monsters topic in Canadian section without Lobo1969 contributing If TRU.ca still has stock of HH left...I doubt we'll see more than 20% on this set if any discount at all. Maybe 30%-40% for the rest of the line to clear it out. I've seen HH at a few stores before but they only stick around for a week or so than is either purchased or most likely shipped back to warehouse. Pretty expensive set I guess so most store owners don't want it sitting on the shelf. Last yr I figured a bought too much HHs (20% off ) with my low-ish budget/small time investing hobby that I returned 2...as always I'm starting to kinda regret it as domestic availability get lower and lower. Just got to make your decisions and live with it

Classic space trumps all other LEGO IMHO.

Ciglione
It will last some more. But not infinite. The other MF sets are all gone. This will follow, just a bit later. my 0.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
In reality, no one knows. Probably not even the people that make the decision. What does scare me is a lot of the MF sets have kind've stayed around and aren't really flying very high. But I think the Haunted House is in a league of its own. I love the one I have. One of the few Non-star wars/Hobbit/LOTR/Tehcnic sets I have and will keep.
TheDarkness
The MF theme has been pretty slow moving. Stock is still floating around on the shelves but it is finally all disappearing. HH will probably be the straggler of the theme, big set that disappears slowly. It reminds me of Diagon Alley in a way.
inversion
HH is different than the line. MF sets are the usual gimmicky play sets. HH is a vintage horror house, a classical setting, and stands on its own as others have mentioned as well. Also different from Diagon Alley because HH is recognised by a much wider audience, while DA was also a relatively marginal place in HP movies. @rtisan
The sets are all still available in my neck of the woods, albeit at TRU inflated prices (VC for $149.99, etc), but still, plenty of stock to be had. At this rate they will definitely be available here come October, if not beyond, there is just that much and it moves that slow. HH on the other hand, I don`t know what to say. If Lego is going to retire it this year, I`d bet it would be Nov-Dec. If next year, same thing, I can`t see how retiring mid year would be a good thing when Halloween sales are close by, or retiring beginning of the year, which would be unusual, though that isn`t impossible.
djim
My local Lego store (San Mateo, CA) doesn't stock HHs anymore, and they don't think they will ever again (not a manager, just a store employee's opinion). I was there today looking for one and asked if he thought they would bring them back in store for Halloween season, and he didn't seem to think so. I came home a purchased a few off LEGO Shop at Home since it seems I won't be able to find them in local stores.
mario.lalonde
Anybody count all the sets LEGO has to sold? I think only Costco could have the shelf to hold it all My point is that LEGO has so many themes, many set... I don't know if they get a peak demand at all, but seems that everybody trying to start buy and sell LEGO...
wallwebber
In my area there are 2 Lego stores. I talked to the store managers at both, and they said their stores are out of the HH's and they will not get anymore in.

comicblast
So much for no necro-posting. I believe there is at least one other thread we can direct the HH discussion to, to avoid having more than one thread discussing the exact same thing. ie. Retiring Soon - Open speculation thread. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/4008-retiring-soon-open-speculation/page-81?hl=retiring%20soon
knarrff
I am interested in this set for myself, so I don't care about EOL (except of course I would like that not to happen just yet). What are the best options to get it? Where did people get their discounts? B&****** doesn't seem to have it. Lego itself of course during a double-VIP event or so in an option, but I hope for even better discounts. I think I remember someone getting it for $80? That must be an exception, or is it? djim
I picked up 4 for $80 on Friday at FAO Schwarz in NYC but I'm pretty sure I bought them out. I was like a kid in a candy store when I found them on sale.
