ship
Speaking of the haunted house, has it ever been heavily discounted, whats the lowest you've seen this set go for? Also, as the rest of the line is retiring shouldn't we expect this one to be gone soon as well?
stephen_rockefeller
Amazon had a fire sale last year someone please remind me of the discounted price. I do remember many people received damaged boxes though. Keep in mind that was before the LEGO rule of no discounts on exclusives was put into effect. Also the haunted house is said to be sticking around as the only set from the MF line. It sells to well and is hands down the best set from the line. It will be around for a while to come. squareBrix
The haunted house is a great set & promising as a long term investment. It would be best if you can have it at a discount. But if you can't find a good deal and you're willing to hold it for a long while, purchasing at MSRP may not be too bad. It's unclear whether it's near EOL. It may still stay for quite a while like most modulars.
stephen_rockefeller
I think the best anyone is gonna do on this set is getting it when LEGO is doing a double or triple VIP points promo.

jaylay
May 30 ... the day when quite a few big sets had a discount ... I snagged 2 for $134 each!!
Guest TabbyBoy
I've never seen HH discounted anywhere in the UK apart from LEGO having VIP and 10% off
Bernard74
I've seen this set being discounted once in my country (the Netherlands) during a period in october where all stores had 25% off all lego, including HH. Apparantly the discount came from Lego itself.

I ask this as a newbie.
TheOrcKing
is there any history of Lego keeping a theme alive with just one set hanging out by its lonesome? I ask this as a newbie.Lego is still offering the Kingdoms Joust set which is from the retired Kingdoms theme. Sure, it is technically Castle related but the exact series it is from has been gone for a while now yet this set continues to linger on. It also is a Lego exclusive much like the Haunted House is. marcandre
Target had it for retail and a free $30 gift card over the holidays. Pretty nice deal.
waddamon
I bought 8 on the target deal. I am hoping other exclusives will get the same treatment. Vip de
Bold-Arrow
Target had it for retail and a free $30 gift card over the holidays. Pretty nice deal. Yup.... Good times. These kind of promotions are the only "discounts" you will get on the HH.. You can keep your eye on Amazon WH, if you don't care too much about the box and want to build one. ( although there is a long list of members itching for that one.)

beartrapper
Maybe I'm crazy but I traded a Black Peal for a Haunted House. I picked up the BP for $75 at Target and the box was beat up.
weakside
Here in Canada, locally I was only able to get the HH at 20% off CAN retail price once...haven't seen sale on it for a long time. Good I have a few...
Pseudoty
I picked up 6 with the Target $30 GC in my mind it was buy 5 get one free. Plus an additional 5% off on the red card. Have one up on eBay auction started at $99 will see where it ends up.
Mos_Eisley
It's not on the wholesale list so it must be retiring soon. I thought it was a prerequisite that this statement was in every thread questioning if an exclusive was going away. Just doing my part.

Guest TabbyBoy
Would it be on a generic wholesale list if it was an exclusive set?
