biking_tiger Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Hello all--I've been "lurking" for a few weeks and picking up little nuggets of knowledge. I've bought and sold Lego (mostly to support my own Lego hobby, a minor one compared to most), for about 10 years. This is the first time I've seriously considered a plunge into full scale investing. Anyway... good to be here. Quote

biking_tiger Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Welcome! Since you are the tiger, how are those lions and bears? Oh my. Biking Tiger is my eBay handle, and has been for 10+ years--named after an orange mountain bike I had after college. We won't discuss how long ago that was... Quote
Migration Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Welcome. Last time I drove across your fair, flat, and very windy state I ate breakfast in some little diner somewhere around the middle off of I-70. The waitress was around 90 years old and wore a shirt saying; Dear Auntie 'Em, Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy I nearly died laughing. 4 Quote
biking_tiger Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 fair, flat, and very windy state All accurate, but thanks for throwing "fair" in there. Great shirt, too. One thing we do well in Kansas: make fun of ourselves. 1 Quote

speedsausage Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Welcome tiger! If you plan on taking the plunge, spend some serious time going through threads on here and then ask questions. The majority of the peeps here are quite helpful! Quote
Neosphinx Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Flat and windy... sounds like my country. Welcome! Quote
Cross Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I used to cover the state of Kansas... Loved East- dreaded trips out West. Welcome aboard! 1 Quote
biking_tiger Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 I used to cover the state of Kansas... Loved East- dreaded trips out West. That's exactly how I felt growing up here--in the northeast of the state. We took yearly trips to the Rockies, driving our truck-top camper across the barren wastes of western Kansas/eastern Colorado. Quote
Cross Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I have made that drive many times as well... It is certainly a tedious one. Quote
