Baragon Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I guess I'll have to see if they carry this set at my store. I had assumed that the hard to find sets were online only because they don't offer them for in store pickup. Quote

Zelgazra Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I'm looking for a quick favour from anyone that can answer, though the requirements to do so are going to limit the number of responses... Will a constructed 75060 fit inside a Ikea Detolf cabinet shelf? The built dimensions in "landing position" that I found suggest 45cm x 37cm x 20cm. I know the display mode is on an angle, and the angular distance for 1 shelf is about 48cm.... I'm thinking it might just barely fit, but I haven't got anywhere else I could display it.... It would be disappointing to build it up only to find out I cant put it where I'm hoping. Anyone in a position to check for me? Quote

Zelgazra Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Found a post in the displays thread that I'd forgotten about. Greg shows a mod he did to fit his on page 13 of that thread. 1 Quote

Anyone in a position to check for me? Well, you're in luck because I do have an IKEA Detolf cabinet (actually, I have three of them) and I do use them to display my LEGO sets. I also have a 75060 on display at home, so I can definitely answer you that it does not fit inside. It's standing on top of my Detolf cabinet. 75060 is quite large! Edited May 2, 2017 by Haay Quote

gregpj Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Found a post in the displays thread that I'd forgotten about. Greg shows a mod he did to fit his on page 13 of that thread. It's been recently replaced by the UCS Tie which fits in the same space (height) as the Slave 1. Quote

gregpj Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Looks like this now... Sorry for the glare and the LBG plate someone will surely notice. Stole it for something else and keep forgetting to replace it. Quote
thoroakenfelder Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I've seen people buying brackets to lift the shelf above enough to allow it to fit. You'd have to budget your space to allow a smaller set to live there. Quote
Zelgazra Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I'd really love to have 2 medium compartments and two smaller ones. May have to investigate some bracketing options, not sure I've got enough spare parts in one colour for the brick approach. Quote
Nick83 Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Received a 38S7 from LEGO Shop. Not a good indication for a shortly retirement... ? 1 Quote

Ascorgie Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Hows our thoughts on 75060 making it until May 4th this year? I want to pick it up before retirement, but getting it below RRP after the holidays is difficult. Been on backorder on SAH for some time. I guess we'll have to wait until after Jan 25th to see what the stock status is? Quote

You shouldn't have an issue in waiting until May 4 to get Slave 1. Quote

We will probably get it at a disount for 4th May too but they could push it out of stock so people can´t order it during the promo period and that may have been what worried the OP. Quote
Karl1c4 Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 It was on sale for $159 on Target.com yesterday, and today it's not even listed on their site anymore. Not sure what it means, since it's still in stock LS@H. Quote

Karl1c4 Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 (edited) That makes sense. Thought something was weird that they still have Hoth UCS sets, but didn't have the Slave 1 anymore. Wish I could've picked up like 2 more at that price point though. Thats the first time I've ever seen it on sale. Edited March 28, 2018 by Karl1c4 Quote
cladner Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 (edited) did anyone even get Slave 1 order in yesterday at target.com? i had been buying 1 of these per month from target - haven't seen them in stock since end of January. same thing with architecture capitol building which was also on sale yesterday but hasn't been in stock in months. GregP Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Nearly gone. Should be a winner with a long enough hold. Can’t see them remaking a UCS version again. Plenty of cheaper versions no doubt but they will only reinforce how good this one is. Kinda like the Sandcrawler. Quote
