pickleboy Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Seems the first peek of this years free holiday set it out... I like it! 6 Quote
M4x18 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Double VIP and the first Holiday promo set. Sweet! Quote
njseale Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Best time of the year to buy exclusives. The holiday sets plus 2x VIP is such a killer deal. 1 Quote
Huskers1236 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Looks like October is setting up to be an expensive month. Quote
naf Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I like it! Looks like they're pairing the holiday giveaway sets with the new Winter Village sets too. Last year's tree stand fits in nice with the Winter Village Market, and this little toy shop will be a nice add-on to Santa's Workshop. Quote
MartinP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I like the promo! It goes well with the Santa's Workshop set. Looks like I'm going to be spending at least $100 in October. Quote
psusyntar Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Probably be spending a $100 in early November as well for part 2. Way before Brick Friday. Quote
Alpinemaps Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Love it. This is going to go great for the village. Quote
remy1492 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I thought Oct was supposed to be 3x points? Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 This one is definitely a winner. The Christmas tree set did so well last year, this one is even better. Quote
pickleboy Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 Best time of the year to buy exclusives. The holiday sets plus 2x VIP is such a killer deal. If I remember correctly right before Black friday, or maybe it was Black Friday, they did triple points and the 2nd Christmas set giveaway... (Someone correct me if wrong...going on memory here and I've killed off my share of Vodka since then.) Quote
Ed Mack Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Triple VIP points were BEFORE Black Friday. People procrastinated and said they would wait for the super duper Black Friday deals and they never arrived. 1 Quote

(Someone correct me if wrong...going on memory here and I've killed off my share of Vodka since then.) I THINK they ran out before the sale on the second holiday set and there were no extra giveaways during the 3x VIP event, but I am going off a pretty bad memory too. Quote
Noodlenut Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 It appears that double VIP points are back, plus the Elves Workshop will be free with orders of $99 or more. Minifigures series 12 will be available on the 1st. Here's a close-up of the 2014 Christmas set which appears to be the Elves Workshop. And the back of the calendar: 1 Quote
wholovesboo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 YES! Looks like there's another Lego store opening in NYC... And also, LEGO needs to make an Architecture version of the Flatiron building! 1 Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 October will definitely be a profitable month for us and Lego. Quote
spener90 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 The brick or treats thing would have been so much better on Halloween! I never really cared for candy (I'll take strawberries and other fruits any day), so just thinking about getting Lego on Halloween would have been a billion times better. Even if it was just a couple of pieces per house. Quote
biniou Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 The holidays set is FAN-TA-STIC. It will fit so well with santa's workshop that some twisted mind people could think it has been designed together since the very beginning... 1 Quote
jaylay Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Going to be an expensive October and November. Shoot, an expensive December too. Haha!!! Quote
darin Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Time to start saving up some $$$. Hopefully, there's not too many deals for Sep. Quote
seapotato Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Oh, that is a cute set! I'll have to figure out what to buy. Quote
