KShine Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 New best offer time limit option - You can now choose to have your offer expire in 4, 12, or 24 hours. "Give your offer an expiration Quote
Migration Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 That is actually not a bad idea. I'm kind of shocked. Quote
Ed Mack Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I like it as a buyer. Many sellers don't respond and I wait for an answer. I used this option two days ago when eBay gave me quadruple bucks. I had a certain time frame to use them, so I had to limit my offer time so I could move onto other options. Quote
chinothegeeko Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 A great idea from ebay. Doesn't happen often anymore. Quote
KShine Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Definitely a plus for buyers who would otherwise not be able to pursue purchasing elsewhere (as they would need to wait out the offer). As a seller, any time the rules of the game changes, it does require some adjustment to your selling strategy. They have also put the retract offer option right there (in the past you had to dig a little to find it). No doubt though - the new time limit option is certainly more fair. Quote
ravenb99 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Just don't like it for the west coast buyers that make offers with 4 hours and I wake up and there already expired. I always respond quickly as I want sales but 4 hours is really short for that reason. Most my offers come in overnight and have lost a few sales for the ones that used that. Quote
