trekgate502 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 can we please close this thread and start another titled "Stuff I'm just making up because I want to keep this thread going" Please don't shut this thread down! I am hyped for Saturday, watching Episodes 1 through 6 (one per night), acquiring SSD's, and wondering how to pay for it all. This thread is the Caffeine for me without Coffee (but I need that too)... Quote
No More Monkeys Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I want the source within the source!!! http://matrix.wikia.com/wiki/The_Source Quote
Ed Mack Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 This thread is such an entertaining read when you do not have a horse in the race That's right, I am not buying it unless it is discounted 15% or more this weekend. Even then I am only in for 1. My money is tied up in umm other things So there, 1 less SSD hunter for you Regardless, there will be some solid sales and smart buyers who keep their multiple purchases at or a little above $75 might be able to score multiple Darth Revans. Quacs Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The source's name is Deep Pockets... I thought the BP mascot Max Profit was a graphic depiction of the source? Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote

junkrigger Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If these are made in China and shipped globaly I find it hard to believe Lego would still be selling them everywhere else with an ever moving back ship date if there were not more coming. Why would they sell more to all other regions exept the U.S., the biggest market. In this case I take "temporarily out of stock" to mean just that. Does anyone have an example of temporary out of stock that never came back, I can't think of one in the last five years, but don't track that closely. Marginally if we don't get discounts that match all other regions I am gonna be personally offended as a long time lego shopper. Quote

Mars Rovers LOL jury is out though on whether or not they actually de-facto EOL at this point Quote
junkrigger Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Mars Rovers LOL jury is out though on whether or not they actually de-facto EOL at this point I did not see the temporary OOS go right to sold out, but if so my theory is garbage and I might pick up the last local few available. Quote

jaisonline Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I have a higher up Lego contact in their box art design dept. He / she never offered retirement info so I never asked. Quote
Dbroncoboy Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 All my walmart orders shipped however they split up each SSD into separate shipments. I fear we all know what that means.... Quote
johnwray Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 All my walmart orders shipped however they split up each SSD into separate shipments. I fear we all know what that means.... Of course I know. But why don't you tell me so that I make sure that YOU know. Quote
trekgate502 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Ed, Any timing word on the sale list coming through? I guess it will come out in the next 14-15 hours or just go live at midnight and not be announced! They seem to be holding this year very close to the vest. Which will be really strange if there is no "great deals" like Europe got.... But that happens. My super remote way off guess is the Millennium Falcon half off and it is going EOL. Quote
Deez_Brickz Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 SSD just popped back in stock at Walmart this morning - lasted about 10 minutes or so. I was able to get an order in. Its back to oos now. Quote
inversion Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Meanwhile some crazy s*** is going on in Europe. SSD: Out of stock, expected ship date 12 jun. 2014 DS: Out of stock, expected ship date 5 jun. 2014 I wonder where it will end. Quote

texasade Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 When you search for SSD on walmart.com it no longer finds it. Only when you search via google does it find the SSD listed on walmart. Quote
No More Monkeys Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 When you search for SSD on walmart.com it no longer finds it. Only when you search via google does it find the SSD listed on walmart. This happens practically for all "currently OOS" items at Walmart Quote
Anakinisvader Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Now that everyone who wants a SSD has one, who will be left to buy them after retirement? Ok, not everyone. I'm sure there are at least 10 people who didn't buy one before it sold out. Quote
