Val-E Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 BIN cheapest is now 900 euros on ebay europe and recent sales have been over 800. I wonder if it will make the 1k mark before end of year. Quote
hannibal Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 UK is doing OK too. Number of sales dropped a little bit, but that's understandable. The higher the price point...the lesser sales! But the price has increased indeed, I've seen a few sales over £700 mark (£750 if i remember well) which is good. With used ones trading easily at £500+ ... I think it's safe to say this set has doubled in the UK now in price (before fees etc.) Quote
Popular Post c666187 Posted November 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted November 20, 2015 I just sold my used, built once, SSD for $800 +shipping. Not bad, since I got to build /display it and my buy in was $270 (from AWD). 10 Quote

Val-E Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 If anyone is interested in tracking price evolution of this set in Europe, there are 3 auctions ending today and 2 are already touching 850 euros. The cheapest BIN is at just under 900 and there are only 4 BIN listings at less than 940 euros. This proves that there are still people spending big bucks on recent Lego but it has to be the right set. Quote
hannibal Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 A used one sold last night for £600+ on auction. Not bad for something that's been in retirement for just over a year! Good...watching this ship sail off ... Quote
Val-E Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Jeepers, 3 of these bad boys sold in the last hour on Ebay Europe! Avg price 890 euros plus shipping. Where are folk getting there money from to get all these red 5´s,DS and SSD´s? Quote

supergman Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Just sold one earlier for nearly a grand. Bought it for 300, having used $100 in vip points. Works for me. If only I bought more than one, though, and not lots of city, friends, and other stuff. 4 Quote

Lordoflego Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The only regret I have is not having more Quote
Val-E Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 If I had an SSD for every person that has said that. Next question is how many are still hoarded and not listed and how high it will eventually go - 5x RRP? 1 Quote
Lordoflego Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Indeed, I had 4 but sold one few months ago. have mine at $1100 because I'm not in a rush but prices r hovering right under me I think Quote

tractorboy Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 So looking at BP data, it's gone up around $200 from Jan '15 to Jan '16. Probably a similar trajectory in the EU. That sound about right? Will we see that figure dip over 2016, or could the continuing SW hype along with a possible appearance in Rogue One lead to an increase in growth rate? Quote
Val-E Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I think it depends on how long it takes for sold listings not to be replaced by new ones - then the price will surge. Until then, I guess we need to pass the 1k euros sold items base on a consistent basis and by end of this year maybe 1200-1400 range Quote

My thoughts... it will rise even faster this year. Combine the current Star Wars mania with the set getting scarcer slowly. It is a legendary set already. Quote
hannibal Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 so far so good. I have plenty left of this set, but I wish I had even more as opposed to some others which didn't perform to the expectations. But it's all a matter of balance I guess This set and 10212 (both with blue box and from episode VI) picked up good speed in 2015. 2016 should be even better for both of them, especially the 10212 as it becomes more and more scarce..
