Pseudoty Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Nice! The higher it climbs the more afraid I get to actually sell it! Not so much because of the chance of an even higher price but more because of possible scams and stuff like that. Selling a 1000$ set via ebay sounds risky for a seller... Never sold anything that expensive... (any tipps?)List it over priced with the Best Offer option and no Auto Accept. You can then screen the offers/buyers and select one that works for you. Use direct signature confirmation. 4 Quote

Use direct signature confirmation.Agree. You risk getting some time wasters and buyers remorse non payers but nothing works better than being able to screen your buyers. If you are not going to demand immediate payment then not using paypal would also be a good idea (to avoid SNAD chargebacks) so long as you have enough rep to be trusted for other payment options. 1 Quote
Val-E Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Sold for 700 and 719 starting amounts so there is likely to be a slowdown now as the next ones are much more expensive. Quote

Val-E Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) Hard to say, 1000 whatevers is a psychological barrier that most spouses for some reason fail to understand or approve of. There is also the remakeitis so I think we will see may people try to cash in now and what stock is left after Xmas will dictate how high it will go thereafter. Sozial Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 just wait for the movie and enjoy the grow. This thing will reach 1500€ when supply dries out. Quote
Grynn Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 A 1000... K? Think of how many other sets you could invest in if you sold 1 at 1000K! The possibilities are almost endless. Deja vu 2 Quote
danevere Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Personally I'd go for Ewok Villages and Sandcrawlers. £1000 sounds more and more pie in the sky though. Be fantastic though! Deja vu 1 Quote
iahawks550 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Was just looking this morning and in the last couple of weeks, it appears sold prices on Ebay have really jumped on this. Many sales above $900 and a few above $1,000. I expected this jump, but not before December. I think the movie and Christmas may give this another $200 push. 6 Quote
BrickLegacy Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 My listing over $1k is getting peppered with views (400+ in 15 days). No sale, which ultimately matters, but the traffic and interest appears to be there. This is very encouraging. 2 Quote
Pedilego Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Sold a used one for $650 on eBay within 13-hours of listing. Paired it with a used 10th Anniversary Vader Tie but the SSD didn't even have box, instructions, or minis. Considering my goal was $600/500 cash (auction originally went for $680 to a non-paying buyer): On the rise, this set is. You guys with NISB copies enjoy the globs of cash this Christmas. Wow, i think ill be posting my used one up now. Have the instructions but no box. Is it worth it to hold out and buy a box on bricklink to fully complete and sell? Or is it not really worth the hassle, with gains only being marginal? $800 or more would be solid, considering i only spent $400 lol 1 Quote
