Ed Mack
Do you mean that there are many more resellers in the USA than in Europe ? Yes. Enough that LEGO changes buying limits and discounts for US customers. When is the last time a non-US LEGO S@H customer was banned?
mudcatsfan
Perhaps there is additional risk / cost with shipping such a large, heavy object across the Eurozone and multiple post offices than there is with shipping across the US? Seems like more opportunities for changing hands, and with something this big and heavy, that's not a good thing. All i know is, THIS is why its great to have a world wide site, where our non-US friends have the unbelievable opportunity to know WITH CERTAINTY that a marquee set is retired, AND some of them are able to buy them at quantity AND at a discount. This is a truly rare opportunity, and i hope you're all enjoying it
Cardiff
@ Ed Thanks you just wiped my doubts away ... I will grab 1or 2 propably. Any thoughts about EOL at LEGO Shop at Home in Europe? Would be nice if the SSD retires during 2x VIP-Points in October or before Christmas.
biniou
@Ed Let's chose a popular set, not a SW one, and retired some months ago. I think the Modular fire brigade can be a good example. If you search for the 10197 fire brigade in ebay europe, you will find 38 boxes (new) on sale (I exclude pieces sold 5

Marcelnl1
No ssdnl.PNG Odd. I know for a fact businesses are not able to backorder ssd in nl anymore. I would guess lego.com is also selling their last stock. But im in this for the long run anyway, i have patience :)

In the US, I thought it already said retired, but in Netherlands or Europe, the set is still available from LEGO Shop at Home
33Lego
It is becoming quiet here. Just took a look at ebay and most recent sales are around $650.
emazers
I don't care where you live in the World, If you can still buy the SSD at a good price buy them, as many as you can afford, and with the 3 Star War Movies coming you will make plenty of money. I am still confused about alot of guys that were saying it will take 3-5 years to reach $800 after it retired when for the last 2 years I been on here telling everybody to buy buy and buy them. SSD won't fit on the bottom row of these shelves. Look how the 7965 barely fits
Darth_Raichu
Are those small shelves sturdy enough? It looks like a little bump to either shelf will result in those SSD boxes accessorizing the floor.
