For those that have not followed this thread from the beginning, here's a summary:

Wada wada blah blah wada wada blah blah.. memes.. jokes.. pictures.. videos.. insults.. SW quotes... advice...

Holleman67: its retired!

Wada blah blah.. thanks... wada..

BTW this is one of the most educational and fun topic here, for me at least.

I think you missed "Ed Mack:  it will be retired"

and maybe

"some other folks: oh no it won't"

and maybe

"some different folks: oh, sure it will"

and also

"blah.. blah.. catalog...  wada-blah "

But in any case, we need trekgate here to come up with nice humorous summary

I know you US guys do not care anymore now it is retired over there. But for us europeans it is still alive and kicking. But the end is also nigh over here I guess. Retailers over here still carry it.

I am wondering how many are left here. It will probably take quite some time before it is sold out cause over here Star Wars is just not as big as in the US. Maybe once the news about retirement in the US arrives here it will go faster (I hope).

Probably will order a SSD or two instead of the Tumbler. That one can wait till Xmas.

A wise choice.

I have to tell you it is weird to see this set retired in the US first. If it was true that TLG moved units from Europe to fulfill orders in US, why stop now and retire SSD in US while they could have easily moved stocks from Europe ? We all knew SSD is/was a slow seller in Europe compared to US (ie. SSD is still available in Europe even though it has higher buying limits there)

TLG did not move stock from Europe. All backorder fulfilments at LEGO Shop at Home came with 19R4 codes. European SSDs have codes with "S"

Hello guys,

somebody has an advice for me ?

I am in France, It means I can get it for 400e minus VIP and other stuff, let's say 375e so 510 dollars.

I have already 3 of it.

If I sell it on ebay to US, I guess the buyer needs to add something like 100e with shipping and tax.

So I am not sure getting more at retail price here is a smart move.

Thanks,

Yannick

YEA it is retired!!!!!!  Oh, I already said that.  I can check one of the list, few other sets to go of expected retirements.  I can now unsubscribe from this thread.  I estimate standard EOL timeline is about 4-5months.  If GE and DS are gone as well, it seems, november/december time frame for those two.

What do you mean by standard EOL timeline?

From what point are you saying 4-5 months?

I guess it's time to raise the price on the used copy I have on my local Craig's. The four new/sealed ones I have can now start to appreciate nicely in storage for a few years.

There has been one on Chicago CL for awhile for $600 or $650.  Today the price is $950 heh.  Quite a jump!  I'm guessing it is a brickpicker

Yannick do they have the ebay global shipping program in France? I would think you should market yours towards European and Asian countries as the price is higher in those areas.

Based upon what I have seen.  Length of time an exclusive  set has been available, >2 years mimmum, in and out of inventory with temporary "sold out status", reduction in purchase amounts, lack of availability or sparse at large retailers.  All of these tea leaves combined(US only) with my observations over the last 18 months seem to hold up relatively well.  No guarantees.  Cuurently the SSD, GE, DS have all exhibited these traits.  We will see if my hypothesis is proven true, so far 1 of 3.  HH does not fit this mold, so I have enough but am not seeing these signs yet.  "Sold Out" is also not the same as "out of stock".  My two cents.  SSD began this with the "sold out" status back in April.  There were others, Unimog, Fire Brigade to name two.

That makes mine look like a bargain. Had it at $475, just raised it to $550. Green Bay Craig's. Had a couple people inquire at $475, but tried to talk me down. Nope, sorry.

Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker

What do the tea leaves you are smoking tell you about T1 Camper?
