JuneauJQB
I am not privy in how to read the codes. I read thru the forums and gathered that the first 2 digit number is the week of the year, the letter is place of origin and the last single digit number is which "production run"? I see four different production runs, no? I think the last number is the last number in the year (4 for 2014)
brickelements
OK so 42r1 one is: Late Oct (place of origin) 2011?

Darth_Raichu
You can apply for an FAO credit card, if there is such a thing. Since FAO is owned by TRU, I wonder if you get 10% discount for using TRU credit card
tonysbricks
so what's the punchline ? "Retire here often?"
c666187
Since FAO is owned by TRU, I wonder if you get 10% discount for using TRU credit card I doubt it. When I had to return a BOGO free item last year, they made it clear that FAO and TRU are separate businesses.
sjbdeebo2
I received mine from Amazon today. A little disappointed it arrived damaged. They took $70 off the price and asked me if that was enough and how much I would like to be reimbursed. I told them I would prefer a replacement. The customer service rep said they would be getting more in from their supplier in the future and said he would put a note in to let me know when they will arrive. I guess we will see. Anyway he issued me a partial refund of $70 which I accepted, and he put in a note to the shipping department about the insufficient padding. For some reason he did not want the pictures I took of the damage. Anyway here they are:
djim
BTW the SSDs at FAO are likely $500 each, if they are the same price as they were 2 weeks ago. The B-Wings were retail along with the Unimog and Winter Cottage. I'm kicking myself for not picking up the last Winter Cottage.
boliramirez
I am wiring from my iPhone so I hope you can see this pic.... Found it at my nearest TRU..... It rang at 499.99 but the price tag had 429.00, they honored it And I pulled out the 20% coupon, it did not go through, manager came, admired this beast of a toy and forced the coupon.... On my way home with it.... $370.00 after tax.....

naf
Nice, I've never seen a SSD or any exclusive at a TRU B&M store. Wonder why they have it priced so low (by TRU standards).

It's probably an in-store return from someone who bought it online. I also wondered why they have it priced so low. I would think that it would be priced over $500. waddamon
My two from amazon are arriving today, we'll check condition. I am concerned with the continued damage to amazon sets. How long before they tell me no more discounts or replacements? I am not sure what that policy is.
