TheOrcKing Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 The Golden Minifig alone sells for over $20.00 That's the part that gets me! Some people are nuts with their money. (Or seem to have TOO much of it.) I finally got to pick up one for myself at Wal-Mart at that price. Pretty good for a $30 set I think. Brings it just about to $0.09-$0.10 a piece. Quote
whiteboy02 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I probably would buy it but I don't got the money .Thanks for mentioning though! Quote
c666187 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 WOW...Wal Mart this week has this set on sale for $24.97 (MSRP $29.99). This is a great value. The Golden Minifig alone sells for over $20.00 and you get 3 Minifigs plus the GOLDEN DRAGON with this set. I would highly recommend that you go to Walk-Mart immediatly and buy as many as you can find. These sets are already hard to find and are selling on EBay for as much as $45.00. Great Deal...Hope this info. helps someone build or add to thier collection! The last golden ninja figure went for only $10. I think the initial run on this set is over. Quote
Blackjack Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 If you're talking about Loyd, is worth more around $7. Quote
TheDarkness Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I wonder how many of these will snapped up my investors solely hoping for them to be the next Ice Dragon. It really is small enough and cheap enough for people to have 30 -100 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 The last golden ninja figure went for only $10. I think the initial run on this set is over. Yeah, the sets "sold out" phase is just about gone. I wonder how many of these will snapped up my investors solely hoping for them to be the next Ice Dragon. It really is small enough and cheap enough for people to have 30 -100 I can imagine A LOT. Agreeing with you, good price point, number of parts, three minifigures, and a dragon. Plus, not many sets have parts in Pearl Gold. Quote
dunkers97 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I dont like the new evil dudes though, I liked the snakes and the skeletons better. Quote
Grolim Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I don't know much about Ninjago, but even I know this is a good one to pick up, especially on sale. Quote

stephen_rockefeller Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 The Walmarts by me have had these at 24.99 since it came out....I'm thinking this isn't a sale but rather their regular price for this set. Some Walmarts have other sets that are below retail and not on sale. The most recent ones I remember seeing is the gungan sub at 10.00 less than msrp and Jabbas palace 15-20 below. Quote
Blackjack Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 IrishGuy66 just picked up a Gungan Sub at Walmart for $50. Quote

kerrmando Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I'd pick up a few of these for this price. I think they will perform well down the road! Quote
RunMan3 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Same price at Amazon so why all the excitement about Walmart? Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Same price at Amazon so why all the excitement about Walmart?Because I can hand pick my box and not worry about it being shipped and receiving it damaged........sooner or later everyone will pay sales tax on online purchase so enjoy your tiny discount while it lasts ;) Quote

stephen_rockefeller Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Is there a limit on amazon? It seems they limit all their LEGO inventory these days..... Quote
spectre1130 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Target always has this set at $24.99, so they are actually cheaper than Walmart without even being on sale. Quote
exciter1 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I thought the same thing, Amazon.com. Helm's Deep is now down to $109 as well. Buying 2 at Entertainment Earth is still a better deal by 14% or so. Quote
Quacs Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Amazon - here are the links (w/ BP pass-through included) 70503 Lego Ninjago Golden Dragon 9450 Lego Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle 9474 Lego Lord of the Rings Battle of Helms Deep Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 How did you guys find these deals so quickly ? I was about to post the same thing. HD is $109.65 1 Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 The epic dragon battle will be a year old this july, do we think it'll be gone by december? I might wait for a good black friday deal, but only because ninjago isnt a top priority for me. I bet it'll see good returns next xmas, though, because ninjago is set for a comback next year. I don't think we'll see a better price for the golden dragon, I'll pick up a couple of those. Thanks for the notice, jaylay. Quote
