msdontplay01
Don't us prepay, make them pay their own return shipping, or Amazon will generate them one.Or you can purchase a prepaid label yourself and send it as an attachment to the buyer. This way you control the shipping cost and method since you are on the hook for return shipping since the claim is the item was damaged

msdontplay01
U can attach it thru that portal . Just attach it to the email you received from the buyer in Seller Central. You can also click on " Contact Buyer" for this transaction and send it from there

"What I received was opened, used and in terrible shape for the money I paid for this. Stating an item is New then sending a used old item is fraud." What should I make of this. It is important to note that a new seller recently listed this item for $50 less than the price mine sold for. Should I offer to price adjust as well as accepting the return? Is this person trying to totally scam me and send back rocks, or old used LEPIN, or just trying to save $50 and in the process cost me a ton in shipping? Thanks for any advice. As a long time eBay seller I am not used to these Amazon scam buyers. 2 of the last 6 high ticket >$400 sets I have sold on Amazon have been to SCAM buyers. I don't know what to say and am so disappointed in the honesty of Amazon buyers of high value sets, and I will never sell an expensive item on Amazon again. Hard to believe that Amazon facilitates open theft against its sellers. late on responding but follow B-A advise. all in all its pretty clear that for damaged item its sellers responsibility. a. authorize return and add return label if you don't provide return label; if the buyer opens A-Z you will be at a disadvantage and might lose both product and $$$ providing label don't save you much. but there are scammers you can attach the return label same flow where you authorize return On November 16, 2016 at 7:13 PM, BrickLegacy said: Same here...and the next day I was put under velocity review wow. your sales/on item(s) must have gone through the roof to be under velocity review. it has to be at least 40X your average sales to get under velocity review. Of course it will not prevent an oversize or dimensional charge. I simply meant you control what service is used to return it instead of the buyer choosing it, and potentially increasing the costs even more
junkrigger
This is the reply I received when I sent them and email with the return shipping label. "You are not allowed to state an item as “New” unless it is in Brand Spanking New condition! The item is not New nor is it sealed in anyway. It was opened and in poor condition. Your Store purposefully miss-represented the state of your merchandise with the sole purpose to defraud an Amazon customer. This is a serious matter, one in which we the customer are suffering because of your fraud. Sending us a “Used/Opened” item when you listed it as “New” is a clear violation of Amazon policies. Offering a refund does not help our situation nor relieve you from what you did. So sending the package back so you can try this fraud on another unsuspecting customer is not an ideal remedy for us. We are going to report you to Amazon for fraud and explain how you ruined our child’s birthday!!!!" I don't know what to say. Will Amazon really think I sent them a used and abused set as new because its worth it to me to ATEMPT to scam someone out of a hundred bucks selling a used 10188 as new. After hearing Exciter and Newbie77 share the exact same recent experience I can only conclude that Amazon is ripe with these scam buyers. So disappointing. Bold-Arrow
I wouldn't say anything . No response needed at this point after u provided them with the pre paid label . U followed Amazon's policy . U have a good case to defend yourself in case they open A-Z. Amazon might decide in ur favor and refund them from their own ( our seller fees ) pocket . If you've sent them a return shipping label as you indicated, you have done everything you can at this point. Do not continue to go back and forth with this buyer. They are obviously very upset and it seems nothing you can do will make this right for them. Just wait for them to return the item, inspect it, then refund them in full if everything is received. If they trash the item, you can charge an appropriate restocking fee (see Amazon guidelines). If they file an a-to-z claim, you will represent your side with specifics/dates stating you authorized a return, sent the buyer a prepaid shipping label, and offered a full refund upon return of your item.

Sfcommando14
That is just coded language for "I'm a scammer and I try to threaten sellers who I think are new into refunding me and letting me keep the item". I agree not to talk to them at all anymore. Refund, take the return, and see if they try to follow up on their threat. Probably not.

Without the advice I would have spent hours researching and still possibly made poor decisions. Still I must say in light of this and the experiences of other members who perhaps have been getting scammed by Amazon buyers but are not speaking about it, it makes selling high value items on Amazon a non-option and important consideration in the investing strategy. foreverawesome
Hello, I have wanted to open a LEGO store on amazon for a long time now . I read online that in order to become an official LEGO seller you have got to invest a lot of money and have people constantly buying your supplies. So, it is practically impossible to start an official LEGO store without previous experience in the field. I have also read that in order to gain that experience I could start "small", by buying wholesale, though I'm not really sure how to do that. Does anyone have information regarding where can I buy LEGO wholesale, and generally how does it work? Where do I start? I would very much appreciate your help. BrickLegacy
Customer inquired about shipping and delivery. Is it OK to message them back to track the shipment on the FedEx website so they can customize delivery or is any mention of a different website a 100% no-no (taboo) on Amazon?
