And in the meanwhile it has been 3 months and they still haven't managed to fix the listing for 75153 AT-ST ... Received a celebratory email yesterday claiming it was fixed, but it wasn't, so back we go to more weeks of "please be patient" status update emails....

B01CVGVB4O is searchable now.  Which listing is giving you trouble.

A good chunk of my business was selling bulk to FBA folks . . . in fact, my clearance buying strategy this past round at WM was only to focus on buying sets in when I could get them in bulk, ignoring other deals, so this sucks for those of us outside of Amazon, too.

That's the one. I see it appears now in search results, but as the 5th or 6th result. Still better than not showing at all....

Makes sense...Especially on new toys and sets.  Amazon knows that LEGO products are probably one of their highest volume "reseller" brands.  That being said, if you can survive this year, next year might be a reseller's market.

I don't think so. This is all reminiscent of what they did to suppress books and media resellers. Amazon always flags their intent well in advance and they just keep tightening the vice until it is clear to everyone. Toy resellers will go the way of book and cd/dvd sellers on the platform. That being said there is still huge opportunity for toys on other platforms and your own website if you want to invest the time, money and effort. We saw so many book sellers go out of business because they did not want to invest the time, money and effort into setting up new business models to take advantage of the changing selling landscape on Amazon. It will happen to toy resellers as well that don;t want to pay attention to all of the signs.

You know, you gave me a great idea.  What happens if we all pool our resources together and launch an new online toy store.  I even have a name...Toys Are Us!

I have requested Amazon send me an example of what they are looking for in terms of Certification. Be interesting to see what PRERANA S.'s reply says.

In the meantime I'm selling what is affected by the request. (only have 1s and 2s of the 8 sets requested)

More like Toys Were Us.

Just curious if this is a US only thing (for now). I still have no confirmation that the gating that went into effect the other year ever hit up here in Canada and am following this with interest.

I think people are taking Amazon's move a bit too personally and blowing it out of proportion. "squeezing the noose, kicking people out, end of the world as we know it".

As a monsterous company that is constantly fight lawsuits, politics, and public opinion. Maybe just maybe, one of the 100's of CEO's was in a legal battle regarding toy safety and who's liable. Maybe Amazon got pegged with that responsibility. Maybe they are trying to figure out how to address that issue.

Or maybe they just hate some of us and instead of indiscriminately kicking people off, they are creating a indiscriminate reason to do so... as if they needed it.

That's my take, too.  My sense is that they are targeting specific listings, and not specific sellers.  probably as way to weed out the multiple listings, and likely ones they've had problems with (fakes, knock-offs) in the past.

I was thinking to wear an Amazon costume tomorrow night. Boooooo.

I sold my last 2 items in question, FBA. Lowered the price to get rid of them, closed the listings. Not worth going through more trouble to have to shop them back to me, to list them elsewhere. More handling means more money and increased risk of damage during shipping. Hopefully no more notices.

Not Lego, but sometimes related to Amazon Lego selling... (some Lego have light bricks with batteries)... I've always ignored this when adding a product to sell on Amazon fba... the "Dangerous Goods" info... I generally click "NO" on the two questions about batteries, and hazardous materials regardless.

... but now getting ready to ship in a Propel T-65 X-Wing Drone and had second thoughts.  It DOES have 2 Lith Ion batteries included... so I clicked "YES" and now presented with a number of other questions... some are easy... battery type... volts... etc,... but others like weight, cells per battery, Watt hours per battery, etc?  Anyone else deal with this? ... or just lie, and say "NO"?

Never lie, they will catch it eventually . I always will it out completely and truthfully and at one point had to provide a certificate to show that the battery was safe.

Back to the Amazon toy compliance fiasco.
It sounds like demands were only sent for listings you already had. Even if wasn’t being used. Did anyone get the same notice after making a new listing?

I had maybe 40 or 50 listings active, but almost nothing in stock when this all started... maybe that's why I escaped it (for now).

Some of mine were OOS, but I still received the notice on those ASINs.

Has anyone else not received anything back on the toy certs?  I submitted documents in response to the initial request and haven't heard anything since and didn't get the second request that others have received.

Got my follow up message this morning. Same as everybody else, provide test reports and pictures. If you send inaccurate or fake documents we may suspend your selling privileges. Bla bla bla...

I had 6 total. 3 out of stock. 3 listed but had no FBA inventory on them. Since my case was opened I emailed the docs and still no response..request for test docs or images. Wondering if there was a pause on this and just maybe a few reps said to one another "hey...we haven't approved anyone for any of the lego ASINs..notice that?"

This weekend I shipped one ASIN that was tagged with other sellers but not with me cause I never sold it before. Shipment has been in Receiving since yesterday. As of this morning 8:00 am no new messages from child safety on that ASIN. Nails biter I tell you.

Sounds like people with inactive listings (OoS) got hit the most.

Wondering if any new listings are being flagged.
