I would recommend telling your customer, that you can identify every Item you sent and are happy to receive the Item you sent. Get UV-marker/ink-pad+stamp and mark all your sets. But thats only valid for fbm with FBA you have to take the loss. Quote

I'd love to be wrong though. Quote

pharmjod Posted Monday at 03:00 PM Posted Monday at 03:00 PM Forgive me, I'm not trying to be argumentative, but if they are a scammer they probably don't care. If they send you back a different condition set than what you send them how is marking the set with a uv marker going to help? Is Amazon actually going to side with you? I'd expect most if not all scammers to call that bluff. Am I missing something here? Genuinely curious. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted Monday at 03:16 PM Posted Monday at 03:16 PM Just wait till you get it back, no point of worrying about it at the moment. If it is damaged, charge a restocking fee but be aware you might get a negative feedback and might need to defend against an AZ. if it is a reasonable restocking fee and you dont have a history of damaged returns, Amazon will most likely self fund. as far as feedback goes, i stopped caring about it , i refuse to have bad actors wield that as a sword over my neck. also dont forget to report buyer. 1 Quote

I had a return for a hole in the set I was sure the customer was lying because the said the outer box wasn't damaged and when i received the return (in the same outer box i sent it ) i was able to clearly see how ups caused the hole in the set.Unless its really a expensive set it is a bit extreme to swap sets to get a better condition box. How do you report a buyer, I tried that before on a guy who in a span of a year bought 3 items FBM, returned them with figure swaps and even a crappily painted custom to try and look like the figure they stole. When I called amazon and asked if I could block them/report them or anything, they essentially said that is not possible. Fortunately I was able to get a refund for all items. 1 Quote
pharmjod Posted Monday at 04:40 PM Posted Monday at 04:40 PM Yeah, I can't find anywhere to report a buyer. Quote

No Amazon does not care at all, but here in Germany If you have solid prove that sets have been exchanged you can involve a lawyer. Of course there is always the risk that the buyer is broke, so you have to pay the lawyers fee. Quote
airhanny Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm trying to understand how Amazon FBM return works. I got below return request. It was auto-approve by Amazon. I see return label with tracking number was created. The item is currently still in transit but then it's marked Complete already by Amazon. The only actions available are Issue Refund or Contact Buyer When clicking Issue Refund I see below and the Submit refund. button is greyed out. Quote
pharmjod Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Item was under $100. It's already been refunded on the first scan at the post office / ups. It is in transit. You can't do anything until you get the Item back. Then you can check to make sure it hasnt been tempered with. If not, that's it. If it materially different or significantly damaged, you can do a safe t claim with amazon. 1 Quote
gmpirate Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Always fun to get your stuff back with no shipping box with the label pasted/taped on too. Received more of those today 😀 1 Quote

I received the item back today. It's the same Gingerbread house but with beat up box with tapes everywhere (mine was mint) and inside is quarter built Gingerbread with all other pieces scattered. But it seems the buyer did not use Amazon prepaid label. The tracking number is Not available. What should I do in this case? Quote

I had the same thing happen with a Gingerbread House. Beat up box with rips and tears. Amazon gave me $46 for a $220 item. Others say I was lucky for that. Quote

Received more of those today 😀 I had a set come back in a plastic bag. Very annoying when you consider that I posted it in a custom ordered box that it fitted perfectly. Surprisingly, it was in decent condition so I can sell it as new on eBay. Quote
