Bricklectic Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 How is it possible that these insanely popular sets have sub 15 sellers in the height of the Q4, and its not like the number dwindled over the last fe weeks- its been pretty constant. Meanwhile, the office has 200+ sellers over 2 listings? has minecraft been gated for people? but then again same story for many of the larger sets like globe and typewriter, both sub 15 sellers.. Super strange Quote

Super strange maybe amazon's seemingly never-ending supply on every set in the past scared a lot of dirty QFLL's away this year and amazon didn't order as much for once Quote

I saw this email from a friend: "Sorry that you paid to ship all your products in to us and incur placement fees -- and subsequently pay to have them shipped back to you (even though we promised you wouldn't) -- and that you missed the Christmas rush. But, the good news is you are now cleared to sell Lego again -- until further notice . . . Thank you again for being part of the Amazon family. We truly value the partnership." 1 Quote

airhanny Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I have an FBM order that the customer messaged me for a refund because he claimed not receiving the item, but the USPS tracking says Delivered. What is the best practice for this case? I appreciate the help. Quote

I appreciate the help. if you used amazon buy shipping and had it scanned by the carrier within the promised handling time then amazon covers a-z claims .if you don't have a carrier scan within the right time frame you are out of luck Quote
river41 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 i just had 1 recently and this is amazons comment The customer claimed an issue with delivery. Amazon's A-to-z Guarantee covered the cost of this claim on your behalf because you used Amazon's Buy Shipping and the customer issue was outside your control. it also says that there is no impact on my odr Quote

So just ignore the message right? and let him open a case with Amazon? You need to respond to all messages. Instruct the customer to go to their orders and select "tracking says delivered, but not received". Customers rarely tell what steps they have taken so I normally state what tracking says, check with neighbors, and if its the same day as "delivered" explain it could still come that day or the next. You can create a boiler plate to this effect. There's no information that you can give them that is not available to them already but since you are the seller you have to deal with it. Quote

Super strange Walmart black friday deals are targeted by ALL resellers, even those that don't primarily sell Lego. You will notice most of the people flipping these for barely above msrp have very few LEGO listings. I was targeting Skeleton Dungeon as one of my number one set this year but I never saw it break below MSRP outside of Target's short lived sale. I'm sure I'm not the only one. With limited discounts and volume of 10-20K units a month in November/December (at MSRP). Its not surprising there are few sellers on it. Compared to The Office which was blown out at 70$ (most going to resellers). I'm sure the crap performance of past years minecraft sets also played a big roll in people proceeding cautiously. 1 Quote
Bricklectic Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Good Points. But the whales operate differently and do not source from retail stores. So the lack of the big names on these minecraft sets is what surprises me. Your last point resonates more with me. To me though, I think 2024 was unusual in the amount of sets that sold out early mid december and earlier. Almost every large set is up 75% some even more, which is insane. You could have thrown a dart at any of the large icons ideas sets and done well. Methinks there are many pallets on the way to FBA right now and we will see order restored shortly in terms of seller count and pricing. Capitalize on the dwindling opportunity quickly! Quote
