I flipped these back in September, when they showed up at Legoland California, but no where else. After that, I've stayed away.

I thought about picking up the couple I saw tonight, but at RRP, I just don't like the margin.

Scored 8 of these at Kroger today. They were marked down to $25 via sticker on the set but ring up at $35. They honored the sticker price of $25. It requires a manager override at the register. This has been reported elsewhere. If you have a Kroger Marketplace close to you go check. This is like printing money!

You'd buy 10 mixels 2 at $40 and thats $70 in value. So these at 40 is same now that there selling for 70. Has a little more growth in it over next 2 weeks also

Galorco is in the buy box again at 69.99 with 788 left in stock.

He had a few people undercutting him by some cents over the past day or two.

Sellers are thinning out as well.

BB is at $73.95 and Galorco is at 588 units.

That's volume AND margin!

I only had one... But we're going away for Xmas so I didn't really care if I sold it.

Just sold for $110 CDN (shipping included) on eBay. Nobody is flipping them on eBay right now.. Go!

FBA price is mid-70's now and galarco is down to 395 units.

Depends if he keeps raising his price but when/if he sells out it may jump a bit.

FBA is at 74+.   That's a solid profit on amazon.

If ebay is anywhere near that .. should be no concern.

 

Prices should be at peak this weekend and next I believe.

Shame on you, sellers!!! I am appalled that you DOUBLED the price of this in the past week (11/11 - 11/19). As Yoda might say, "serious pieces of waste, you are." The unit is priced at 39.99; it is now here (fulfilled by Amazon, though not sold by) for 79.99. Shame! And Amazon, you may want to be aware of the marketing effect this has on people who shop on Amazon--especially when the doubled price shows as "Prime." (Yes, it isn't come from Amazon, but the association with price-gouging is pretty easy to make.)

i don't understand why people are venting at the prices.. they can vote with their wallet. if they believe that there is price gouging they should not buy it at all

If people knew more about LEGO Shop at Home then LEGO wouldn't have to rely on Amazon and other 3rd parties this much and have a greater degree of control over its supply and price. If people had more information this would actually be better for LEGO since they would buy directly from them, where they can also enforce purchase limits.

Amazon is raking in the bucks so they are plenty aware.

 

On the frozen items earlier this year they did put a bold MSRP label with the msrp price right at the top of each listing.

Assume that was their response to the price gouging.

I don't know how other consumers work, but I tend to go back to places I've shopped before.  Especially with the fear of identity theft, I think consumers tend to go where they feel "safe".

 

It seems that the review from the unhappy buyer may be a parent that has set his child's expectations too high.  This guy could buy one of the past calendars cheaper, try to wait till after Christmas, or (gasp) go without.

My hopes jumped on seeing this thread that prices had hit $80 already but not so much.

Good news is Galorco is down to 233 sets.   Hopefully he'll be out by this weekend unless he raises his prices.
