Sauromosis Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I am located in the USA. I get a lot of buyers from Australia, as well the British Isles and other international destinations. Have you all noticed any differences in themes or type of lego preferred by Ebay buyers in certain continents? I remember when I listed a couple 41999 Crawlers, I got messages from all over the world. Quote
TheDarkness Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Personally I don't ship internationally but I find here City, Star Wars and Super Heroes to be very strong sellers. Friends is a lame duck. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote
jaisonline Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Based on my experience, folks in Asia and Australia seem to like pretty much the same sets as Americans. I shipped many POTC ships, Batman 7888s, Harry Potter, Gold C3POs, UCS SW, etc... Since postage is expensive, customers usually buy in bulk or very expensive sets. Please note that when paying postage from PayPal, insurance is not available to buy for many counties at least for USPS. The postage buying USPS page usually states that insurance must be purchased at a Post Office (in tiny print). I'm not sure why because when buying postage directly form usps.com, insurance is an option. I wonder if this is related to PayPal ability to "verify" addresses only in a small # of countries or an API issue. No idea... Quote
brickwizard Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 On the vintage stuff from the 80's and 90's I've found that train is popular in the UK, while pirates is popular in Spain/Portugal and Asia. Castle seems very popular in Japan/Asia Space is popular everywhere, and generally the U.S. likes all themes Quote
knarrff Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I would expect superhero themes not to be as popular in the EU as in the US of A, but I have no numbers to back this up. Quote
