Wow, I have a bunch of those grey road baseplates too. I wonder if those are worth anything since they're vintage. I have two old moon crater base plates from the 80's too. Awesome!!

 

Old baseplates don't tend to be worth too much unless they are in very good condition and even then, if you build at all, they are worth keeping IMO.

Tonight I started the rebuilding of my childhood collection.

6571 released in 1994. The vehicles and figures have already been posted, I just have to get them out of another box.

This is all really cool.  My parents kept all my Lego for me, but unfortunately it was discolored pretty badly since I kept a lot of sets in front of a window.  It's really cool to see all the printed parts and baseplates, along with the fancy boxes, but ultimately it's what got Lego into trouble financially.

I guess I am lucky that I had a small room.  I put all of these away in boxes in a closet.  I have seen a few yellowed white bricks, but for the most part they are in good shape.

 

I also found a few random things in the boxes.  The best one so far has been a Micro Machine haha.
