TheDarkness Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Very sad. Provided the world with many, many laughs.
@rtisan Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 So sad! He was a great comedian/actor. Really funny and overall appeared to be a truly genuine guy. RIP Patch Adams. 1

Stevenplays Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Was funny. Then became horrible. But that isn't the point. Sad loss.
MartinP Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Such a tragic loss. He was a very good actor/comedian. RIP.
BrickSapper Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Not making a statement on whether Mr. Williams committed suicide or not, - will wait for the final medical opinion. However, as a service member and dealing with suicides - I honestly have compassion for the family but believe the act of suicide is a selfish and cowardly action with no regards to those left behind dealing with the individual's action. Maybe not a popular position but one that I've come to peace with internally and externally. I cannot condone the act nor support any "RIP" comments for an individual taking this path. 1

While I do respect people's opinions, I would have personally kept this one to myself. If one suffers from degrees of mental illness like he did, there is no way you can comprehend what he did. You were not him and have no idea what he went through in his life dealing with it. I am not sticking up for or agreeing with his actions, but I am not going to judge him or anyone else. P.S. I will probably be locking this thread soon since I already have the gut feeling it will go downhill very soon. 12
stephen_rockefeller Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Too bad this thread had to be locked because someone's ridiculous comments......here is your 2 cents back no one here wants it. Edit: That comment was literally the only negative comment I've seen today about this tragedy. Looks like someone should evaluate their own life rather that evaluating others. 2
