Popular Post marco1264 Posted August 7, 2014 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2014 Hi All. Just finished my Mini Cooper changeover project. I really didn't like the green so I went for the more Classic Cooper look. What do you guys think?? I also put it up eBay item number: 111429812246 14 Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Very nice! Do you mind me asking how much it cost to build it? You can pm me if you want. Quote
fredrick_louis Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I love it.. excellent work. nice work with the Union Jack on top! Quote

Curtis Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Awesome! I too am curious of the cost as I've thought about building more than just one in various colors. Quote
MartinP Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Amazing! I think I like the red/white combo better than the British racing green. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Better than the original IMO. But I don't like green much. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I think you did an amazing job recreating the model in different colors considering the limitations with what is available and the Union Jack on top is a nice touch. I still like the original dark green tone but this is a nice alternate. Quote
gregpj Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Do you have to change the build at all or were all the pieces available in red/white? I ordered a second mini earlier this week to do an alternate build, but I don't think my color choice will be available in all of the same parts - orange with black roof & fenders. I really want to do a dark orange, but it has waaay too many missing parts, orange only has a couple I think I can work around. Quote
@rtisan Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Love it! A blue one would look great as well. Quote
TheDarkness Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Love it! A blue one would look great as well. It looks fantastic, and I agree with a blue one! Quote
melmo78 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 looks great, also agree blue would look great Quote
BigStuP Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Excellent! My Dad has a Red Mini Cooper with a Union Jack roof so I might look to build one myself Quote

Only the trunk was not available in red, so I had to continue the white. Quote

Well, it looks perfectly natural, to me. I like the white. It matches the mud flaps well. Did you look into any other color schemes? I know people have different color T1's to get a fleet of them going. Wondering just how close we can do that with the Mini. Quote
jhammill24 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Great job! I know a lot of people don't like green...but British racing green is a classic color...especially for MINI. I would love to see someone put together a John Cooper Works edition of the MINI...love the black and red on JCW editions. A great thing about MINI is the ability to customize to your preferences and you've definitely captured that with this build. Quote
