Celes Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 This is my 3rd time selling an item on eBay, everything was simple until now. I shipped the item on July 9th, from Mexico to Netherlands, according to the tracking number it arrived on July 18th to NLAMSA Customs (NL = Netherlands AM = Amsterdam SA = Schiphol Airport), but it has been sitting there for a while (4 bussiness days and counting). Idk what to do, fortunately my client has 704 score, so he's more experienced than I, but i'm kind of panicking right now. Quote
biniou Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Maybe it's in the customs officers hands... (aduaneros) Quote
Ciglione Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 This delay might have to do something with the flight MH-17 tragedy. Quote
brickswelt Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Maybe, because it comes from mexiko, they will check it for drugs. Depending on how much packages comes with the flight, it need sometimes more than a week to check international shippings. So, be a little patient. Quote

Ciglione Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I don't think so... I even can hardly figure how this could be related. Why? The plane left from the Amsterdam Airport. People are very shocked and sad (to say the least) there about this tragedy. Quote
Dennan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Nothing to worry.. Might even take up to 2 weeks if it's getting inspected. What forwarder did you use? If you need help from The Netherlands send me a PM. Quote

Sparkesy43 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 At least with the tracking number your buyer can see where the package is and should realise that any delay from there is through no fault of yours. Quote

I had one shipment held up in UK until the buyer paid Customs duty. Could be similar situation, but since it has only been four days it could just be a common delay. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I've only had 4 international sales and so far it takes between 7-9 days after panic sets in. Quote
naf Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I wouldn't worry about it. I've had packages sit in customs for weeks before getting released. Most international buyers realize that delays can occur and are patient. Quote
Celes Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 I guess i'll have to wait more, it was like a 5 kg package, so that may play a role. Nothing to worry.. Might even take up to 2 weeks if it's getting inspected. What forwarder did you use? If you need help from The Netherlands send me a PM. I used EMS. And thanks I hope everything goes well. Quote
