dcdfan
I was hoping for a larger MF, oh well. I do like the look of the Tie Fighter and will probably end up with one of those, the MF and X-Wing for myself (i mean my son What's everyone think of the new buildable figures? http://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/lego-star-wars-force-awakens-sets-for-sale-out-on-the-internet-tonight-high-res-photos/ Not too sure if I like the look of them from the photos but will have to wait and see them in person. I think Obi & Luke look strange.
JetWing34
These are interesting introductions for the upcoming winter. I know all of which I've seen the photos from an image sharing site has the boxes containing mostly ships. For example, I have found Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle (75104), which may be an awesome shuttle fighter from the box picture. My favorite upcoming Lego Star War box sets include Poe's X-Wing Fighter (75102) because I like the orange and black color on the ship. I am right now looking forward to any of these sets I've found online. That may play out based on the good reviews.
areyounormal
It looks like the new TIE set comes with 2 pilots? Hard to imagine 2 being able to fit inside the ship but who knows.... Overall I am only lukewarm on the sets and will likely only pickup Rey's set and Kylo Ren's depending on the reviews - I cannot figure out if I Love it or Hate it. templesweeper
This movie is buried in such mystery that there may be some amazing sets on the way AFTER the release. Abrams doesn't want Lego spoiling any secrets. That being said, my kids love these sets, especially Kylo Ren's and Captain Phasma's.

So far, everything that Lego is releasing in this wave we've seen in trailers, including old Han. But we have no Luke, no Leia, no classic droids. I'm sure hoping that we are going to get some awesome builds and minis in wave 2 after the release of the film. I'm fairly disappointed at the moment. I look at these sets as the "trailer sets." There's nothing here we haven't already seen. And that's OK. We'll have YEARS and YEARS for other sets do be made. I would imagine that there will be a massive Lego set based on the giant castle battle we've seen in the behind-the-scenes video at Comic-Con. That will probably be a $130-160 set. nolanfan34
Eh, I think people are being a little harsh on the new stuff. Really hard to tell until we see them in film. If this was the first time we were ever seeing the Millennium Falcon I'm sure some would say "ugh what's up with that flat pancake ship and why is the cockpit on the side?" I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for now. All of the First Order figs look great IMO.

TheOrcKing
No sleep lost about these - 9492 and 9493 seem superior designs. Those sets are based on the old trilogy spacecraft designs and not the ones from the upcoming trilogy like the new sets are. How can the prior be superior to the latter when neither are based on the same model?

How can the prior be superior to the latter when neither are based on the same model? The basic shapes are pretty much the same, all they have done is trim the x wing´s wings and apply resprays to both! It´s a new model year in automotive terms, inspired by the original shapes and 10% more expensive.
fossilrock
I'm thinking that Captain Phasma is going to be a high-in-demand mini fig. She just looks really, really cool. Of course, I think old Han and Kylo Ren will also be hot figs as well.I tend to agree with you on all 3. On paper, Captain Phasma could be like Boba Fett and have that cult like following. However, until the movie is on the big screen, I reserve wanting to go all in on everything "Force Awakens". Because it could become Darth Maul Part 2.

Wow wow wow, what beef do you have against Darth Maul ? Of course we never learned his motivation, background, or even race by the end of Episode 1, but he looked coolz and 2 bladed lightsaber rulz!!! Sadly, I think the lego characterization of darth maul in the droid tales movies is much better than what we all saw in episode 1. Who here has already gone deep on the new sith infiltrator ???? Haha thought so!

Is the Hoth Exclusive based on the new film? If so, it would be the opportunity to introduce these characters.

templesweeper
Not sure if we knew about this?Yes, it is an industry-wide event. Books, toys, comics, games, etc...all coming on September 4th that will officially launch the "Journey to the Force Awakens."
Val-E
Some specialist sites have started leaking pics of the rear box art of the Sep 4th models. I won´t post any links here due to embargo issues but google is your friend.Seems like MF is more or less the same as the previous iteration - different colours and detail but the same layout and opening segments.

Alpinemaps
I'm hearing conflicting info on that polybag. It's either a giveaway on Force Friday at TRU or it will be available in November at TRU. I've also heard that the Stormtrooper Sgt will be the polybag that will be available in November at TRU.
nolanfan34
God I was hoping to not have any reason to go to one of these at midnight, but if that poly is real I will have to do so.

But then I noticed his red arm and realized it is from the Force Awakens. Shoot. Now I might actually have to go to Toys "R" Us on for Friday.
