A long time ago I said on this very same forum that people are trying to make themselves to believe that they are making a good decision by doing whatever. By saying all of these they are attempting to make their doubts to disappear by seeking support on their comments.

Cognitive dissonance, just gotta love it seeing it at work. This forum is a prime example.

Amen.

If you're so enamored of the exclusive Joker minifigure, stock up on ebay. There are plenty of them for $23. This should not be considered a selling point of a $200 set.

Anyways, since Warner decided not to go with this version of Batman's continuity, the interest in these movies and the Tumbler in general will fade. It's no R5 or Death Star. The classic version of the Batmobile is the only one that is timeless. There will be many more.

nah, all depends if they do an other batmobile or no...UCS

14 pages of pre release hype and another boatload since the retiring soon tag was put on. TLG can give its marketing dept.the afternoon off.

When there are more pages of ebay sold items than the above sets, it´ll be the real deal.

Tell that to the naysayers. :)

I think the tumbler being retired after less than 2 yrs may have caught many by surprise. Buying at full retail is something many here would not do, however, buying late in the game can actually be good asset management as they do not need to lock up funds much longer than those who bought early at discount. So it's a win-win whether you bought before at a discount or buying now at MSRP.

The Tumbler does not really need any marketing. The batman logo on it will help sell this by default. Many tried to predict its performance based on the AA. AA was around much longer, and it is different from the Tumbler.

At this point in this thread, I don't see there being any reason for naysayers to come here looking for negative news because they may try to convince themselves not to buy. On the flip side, for those bullish on this item, there's no need to come here and look for posts to convince yourself to buy more of this and make yourself feel good. This thing is done soon. Sit back and watch.

Is anyone else having a hard time checking out tumblers at Walmart.ca?

or did I miss the "POOF" post?

Still there.

Hmmmm, maybe it's because I'm trying to do it through my iPhone. It's been like this for 24hrs now and I've never had an issue before. I'll try again when I get home on the laptop.

I bought a few this afternoon around 1PM Mountain time and it checkout fine.

3600 on target ebay, burning through more than 200 a day now

sounds like The Thread of Packaging Excellence will get busy later this week.

I picked up order of 2 mint Tumblers in LEGO carton at walmart today doing site-to-store . ymmv.   i do pickup in tax free NH so red card discount is more than offset.

i think if you order 1 you risk having the giant shipping label slapped on the box.

Am I missing something about discounts? Aside from Target's 15% the other month how are you getting discounts on exclusives?

Cheapest I got this for was $160CAD, after tax, $180CAD. That would be $128USD. A lot of people landed this at $128USD right before Boxing Day from TRU.ca, and it came with a bricktober set.

1, 2 or 3 from Target..it doesn't matter. It's like shipping a couple microwaves in a refrigerator box.

No truer words have been written. It's like they want to ship them the worst way possible besides the Walmart way, shipping label slapped on Lego box.

I've had really good luck with Walmart actually. At least for the Tumbler.
