How do you check stock levels at B&N?

Say you enter 100 in the # of item box in your shopping bag, you'll get a message saying how many are left if there are less than 100 in the warehouse.

I live on the Border, with the exchange rate, its hard to beat for discount, even when there are none

Which border? R.O.I? It must be as there aren't any other borders I suppose

Well if Craggy Island has a lego shop now, then we´re all in trouble. I could see that couple who owned the village shop stocking a few Green Grocers and 10179´s.

Haha and a few 497 Galaxy Explorers too.

I've been looking for a shop like that. Nice rural place that nobody knows. Have a huge county to check, so no green grocers or 10179 either. I can always dream though

Think Craggy Island is getting a Smyths, reduced Tumblr's all round :derisive:

Still remember when I found a GG 2 years ago in a country side shop. Now I regret selling it.

One thing on this set is how many listings (in the UK anyway) there are on ebay compared with R5.  Out less time so theoretically less time to build up stock but almost twice as many listings on ebay atm (vs R5)
Assume that's one reason why it hasn't had the ROI in these few weeks that R5 has.  Maybe its the pending stock refresh from smyths thats causing people to hold back buying or sellers to get a quick buck thinking they can re-stock later. But I'm now beginning to think that this one is more stockpiled in Europe then I would have originally thought.

Not knocking this set at all, love it and luckily picked up an open box one (although saw them going NSIB for less then what i paid) so don't have to deal with the shall I/sharn't I open.
This one will be interesting to follow - going back to the start of this thread (even when the set was just a rumour) it was touted as a winner.  Sure it will be (and is). But now with Lego Investing becoming more and more common as a "buy a set to flip" mentality grabs a lot of casual investors I'm thinking this was one of the sets a lot of people did this with.
Just saying that IMO there's going to be a number of people (in Europe anyway) who are willing to sell this one for a $30/40 profit so it might take a little longer to clear out the undercutters.

Yeah, my comparison a few days ago showed there were as many Tumblers listed as Death Stars. We need to remember that this set hardly ever went out of stock at EU SAH, especially not in recent months, and is STILL available in the US.

My main worry is that suggests a lot have been made, even if it was a short period of time, so it will take a while for the stock to be gobbled up.

It was really difficult to get many of these. S&H limit was always one on this set. The recent sales at Smyths were wiped out straight away and most of those are what is being sold now you would think.

Once the US goes out of stock we will see what's what.

£250 lowest BIN price, no too bad? Although I haven't actually checked recent sales.

I mean it's no R5, but then again that's really exceeded expectations.

Yeah I think my comments regarding tumbler return compared to R5 need clarifying a little :)  Agreed that this set has done very well already - £250 already is actually nothing to be sniffed at.
I just assumed with both of these going at the same time it would be tumbler stealing the show early on.

£500 in 24 months... given how this set was permanently on lego uk best sellers list cant argue with that one.  Limit 1 throughout its life - I'm not too concerned about over production on this one.  The reason i assume this went so early is they made an executive decision to focus BM sets on dawn of justice and having a set that promoted the Nolan trilogy just didn't fit in with the marketing plan.

I'm sure i read somewhere on here one day that it came onto the ASDA website (UK supermarket chain owned by wallmart for any of those across the pond who care :)) for literally a day (a very short period at least).

Does anyone know if they actually stocked them?

I'd also hazard that a lot of the sets that have been bought have had the figures removed (I've seen lots of heath ledger joker figs listed and a few tumblers sans figures in the past) so complete, sealed copies might be even harder to come by in a couple of years (compared the numbers people might assume are available).

And finally :) does anyone have an old screen print of the Tumbler stock levels in the EU LEGO Shop at Home before the feed was stopped?

I remember it was selling on a similar level to other 200 euro SW sets but better than Ninjago and Ferris. There were a decent amount left in stock when they pulled the data - it never had a huge level above 700 but hardly ever sold out.

Limit was raised to 2 for a period in the last quarter, IIRC.

It was a weird thing, popped up for like 1 day ( you couldn't even buy it ) then vanished. Basically I think Asda just flashed us all with hopes of possible Tumbler discounts, most likely a brickpicker member working at Asda at the time, knowing our sheer hope:lol:
