I didn't realize we lived in N. Korea . My bad .

Well I certainly am not going to be a fire breathing dragon on this like I was on Red 5

I have no idea how this set will do but I am getting a few

now to your point let me just drop this here

I feel so conflicted Tumbler, Democracy, Episode VII, Ed the Oracle (and he is), Red 5, Liberty, Fact, Justice

Sort of like watch a thread explode with thunderous applause, now back to my Episode VII hysteria

if a mod can edit my post and make the video show that would be great I feel so technically deficient

One can only go by what people have said in this thread........sounds like many are aiming for 50+ ;)

I don't get that vibe.  Never did.  There might be a few.  Even emazers is late to the dance.  I am not going to make any guesses on price or whatever, I'm just saying this set will be one of the least hoarded of all the recent major exclusives.

This set was available everywhere, if you ran a script or had connections.  The general public seldom saw this set in stores and it was rarely in Lego stores during the first 6 months of release.  It's a winner.

don't have to run script or need to use connections.

just like any "hard to find item" in US this set was only available from LEGO Shop at Home and Lego stores. and few actual stores.

yes there was shortage last year dec-jan time but after that this has been available in plenty.

still available from LEGO Shop at Home. and other retailers.

@trekgate502, mentioned a lot of time to stay away from red 5 and load on 9493. i am out of all #9493 @ $179,99 now only 3 of my sealed personal copies remaining. i have few built. if this climbs i will sell probably 2 of the remaining last as well.

Sure it's available...now...but who is buying?  A lot of talk it seems.  Not much buying.  Maybe I'm wrong on the set and people really hate it, thus the poor sales and "Retiring Soon" moniker.

Interesting comments, good reading with a cup of coffee (where's my beer?). Initially I did not had much interest in this vehicle as I focused on Star Wars stuff. A fellow brickpicker enlightened me and every time I had a sneak peak to online Tumbler images I got more excited. This is a piece which reveals his beauty slowly. The Dark Knight movie is fantastic, Heath was inevitable the best bad guy I have seen so far and Tumbler is epic. This set truly gives me a big smile and in the end that is what Lego is meant to be for.

Or people are reaching their limits. I don't mean low demand by this, just the fact that LEGO is cranking out awesome sets at such a speed that Tumbler might be getting lost among all the other good releases. Most have finite resources.

Agree, and the tag popped up at the worst time......Holiday expenses.

i personally don't think you are wrong on this set (at this moment). there certainly will be demand for this set in years to come provided that there is no other "tumbler" in the pipeline.

real million $ question is the price appreciation. i may be wrong on this like 21103.( that it appreciated so fast its 2 years ahead in my own price point [ expected it to reach there in 2017 or 18 not 2015 ] ) now with regard to 76023,

my expectation is :

immediate after begin unavailable from LEGO Shop at Home $280->$330 range.most likely stay that way till Dec 16. about $390->$400 range in Dec '17. most likely will cross and reach 600-> in dec '18 { provided that there is no another tumbler }

I think most thought this set would at least get to the 2 year mark, and alot 3-4 years. Even with the "retiring soon" tag alot are trying to find excuses on why this set will still not be going soon or why it won't outperform the rest of the 2015 retirees. I think alot of budgets were blown on Red 5, DS, ToO, PS, PC, EV, T1 Campers and Tower Bridges this year from the sounds of things. I can totally see Darin stocking up on 76023 for $400-$450 in 2016 :)

Yes, I agree with the above posts. There could be too many high end, quality investment sets being released and retired. Too many for most (including myself) to keep up with in any major way. Constantly dishing out hundreds or thousands of dollars to keep pace is getting harder with the constant EOLs.
