I am very curious to see what other brickpickers think the lukewarm reception of the new movie will do to Tumbler prices ... my feeling is that they will go up. I think many people liked the new Aflek Batman, but he was also a bit off the traditional character. In all it didn't seem true to the character and in my opinion crossed important historical lines that made the character.

I think people will still hold the previous Nolan films in higher regard.

Thoughts?

I think many people liked the new Aflek Batman, but he was also very much off the rails killing people. It didn't seem true to the character and in my opinion made him more into the Punisher than a new Batman iteration.

I think people will still hold the previous Nolan films in higher regard.

Thoughts?

Spoiler alert...

Not sure about the spoiler alert. We see him machine gun cars / people in the trailer ....I tried to be free of any spoilers ... I will edit a little though to honor your suggestion.

The new film is horrible. It curently has a 29% critic score on rotten tomatoes

Batman begins was 85% Dark night was 94% rises was 87%

So it's not even close.  BATMANvSUPERMAN sold well the first weekend because of 2 big names but will quickly fall off and be remembered as a very bad movie.  Which It was.

Tumbler is and will stay the most iconic batman display piece for at least another couple of years.

The best thing to happen to Tumbler prices will be when it is no longer available from any shop and no resellers are offering it for 10% more than RRP. We saw that R2D2 had a similar slow start and recovered 9 months down the line.

Some of us older (slightly) folk might still like 7784...Just sayin'.

Happen to be sitting here watching Batman Begins on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Quickly reminded that the Tumblr is so freaking badass.

How many Movie vehicles have so many cool quotes?

"The tumbler? Oh you wouldn't be interested in that Mr. Wayne.....

Does it come in Black?

He's in a vehicle....it's a black......tank.

Commissioner Gordon; "Ooh, I got to get me one of those."

Pursuing police officer; "He's flying on rooftops!"

The set is going to do just fine.

Si, señor.  Resellers deliberately targetting other resellers is always amusing - or maybe every household should have two Tumblers.

....or 60

Why would someone need so many sets? Are you saving them for something?

Umm...to build a life size tumbler obviously.

Or to sell in 4 years for 3-5x retail.

Uh , yeah, to resell .... that is why we are here ....to make a return. Just like a stock , but actual stocks .....

I really appreciate the risk and the capital resources that person has put into the various sets. Bravo!

I only wish I had that capital to invest like that person. SO cool.

I couldn't' do 60 . but I could do 6. :)
