Buchimuer
Wait to see what condition they arrive in before feeling TOO good about it I agree. Already got some "not good" experience from Amazon. I want to build one. So the box condition is not very important to me this time.

Buchimuer
Exactly, when you get your Tumbler that was shipped without a box and just had FedEx labels applied directly to it, show me pics of how you fixed it with a hair dryer. That's why I'm choosing store pickup. So I could inspect the condition and return it immediately if needed.

That would be (one of) my concern(s) with WM and large exclusives. I received a TH fall of 2014 that looks as if an elephant tap danced on it. Don't think (though I have not tried) to fix a box with a blow dryer! When I first started this hobby I order ONCE from Walmart. Got a set with a huge piece of box print torn plus a nice hole in it. Decided Walmart is not my cup of tea when it comes to ordering. Sounds like Target is a stiff competitor in the damaged shipping department as well. I spent my entire budget on buying Lego sets during the rush of October - December. But... the rush of getting great deals on sets you wanted to buy anyway is something I'm missing now. That rush... It's addictive...
brickolodon
Already had about 7 accounts banned lol. I use different bank accounts/address's and scatter the orders about, including time spacing the actual order to make it harder for people to investigate. Been doing this since about 3 years ago when they started banning folks in the good old USA. Plus added bonus you get a load of the freebies. Although keeping track of orders does get very annoying What a guy...we need you here in a Middle East.
darkhorseoflego
My tumbler that I ordered arrived today from smyths, the delivery box was even taped closed (the flaps were just open) and the box looked like Mike Tyson had a dealing with it, with the whole of the front bashed in. Gonna keep it though as its an excuse to build it haha. Still got my other 2 for selling further down the line. Worries me how many are around though... BarryZola
As long as they stop selling them over here in the UK after this Smyths run is over in a week or so (hopefully) I think we're gonna be all good over here. My only worry is if they for some reason do another production run or something and release another load into the market given the recent 'interest' in them post retirement. Barring that, It should be a real winner I reckon

BRIX23
Damage in shipping from Amazon. Would you return it or attempt an exchange (worry since I assume they will just say out of stock)? Annoying this is the second very poorly packed box by Amazon resulting in damage (other was on SW set). Other than this seals intact. Shouldn't make a massive difference, and will still appreciate substantially even with the damage. Since its EOL I still think in that condition it's work keeping. mudcatsfan
323 and climbing on amazon. 39 sellers till it hits 400. Good luck to our European friends. CoastaLego
I still don't get the box issues. These aren't baseball cards. As long as it's not smashed and or rips in the box I see no problem.
