LegoBuildingMama Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Hi guys, I'm new on here, but I've been selling and collecting Lego sets for ten years. I started with Bogo 50% off purchases at TRUS. Ten years ago I could buy the big expensive sets two at a time and make $200-$500 in a short period of time from two sets. I've noticed in recent years that it is getting harder to make the larger profit margins. I stumbled across this site and had an "Ah Ha" moment. This community is great and judging by how many people are on here, it has contributed to more people learning how to invest and sell Legos. I love the idea of having a place to chat about Legos. I have never analyzed collecting as in depth as some of the articles and discussions on here. I have built my business volume up slowly over the years using cash and have focused on only the sets that I like or that have really deep discounts. I look forward to participating in the forum and reading blog articles! Oh and whether it matters or not...I am a woman and mother...and I absolutely love Legos! Quote
Silburned Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Another Pacific Northwester! Welcome. Maybe we have crossed paths at the Tigard Lego store. Quote
LegoBuildingMama Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Silburned, we may have! Thanks for the welcome everyone! Quote
naf Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Welcome! Glad to see more women on the forums lately. I'm trying to get my wife into Lego, so far I've been unsuccessful. She says that she has a hard time building the sets, but enjoys playing with the finished product with the kids. Quote
