BuckeyeFanDan Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I saw this posted on the LEGO Ideas page and thought that this would be a fantastic set! Hopefully it gets the 10,000 supporters and becomes an official LEGO set. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/1128 The guy who came up with it posted on Eurobricks, which includes an actual built version and it looks even better! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84461&st=0 I would buy this the instant it became available! I love that it has so many pieces (4304) because it really needs to in order to accurately portray the castle. 1 Quote
@rtisan Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 That looks great! A mini-scale version would definitely be possible for Lego. Would be a big hit if they did it right. Kudos the individual who made the project, they did an excellent job! Quote
imirish11 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I just bought the Nanoblock version of this castle, both the big and small version. They look like fun builds. Had to put them in boxes bc they were tempting me to build. I'm assuming one could create a Lego version using Lego bricks that translate to the corresponding Nanoblock. lobo1969 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Awesome job on that model but the piece count, as it stands, would make me wary of it proceeding to the next step... Quote
Mathew Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 This could be a huge seller for Lego if they could get it under the $400 threshold (which is possible at 4,000 pieces). So much better looking than the Sydney Opera House. It's big, but not so big that one can fit it on a large shelf. Quote
knarrff Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I would so buy this set. I always see the Nanoblock version right next to the architecture sets at B&****** and more than once thought: "If only Lego could do a version of that." Quote
legodelorean Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 That castle was sick. Just plain awesome. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Impressive beyond words but too large a scale for what Lego has shown us as 'allowed' finished products under the CUUSOO/Ideas title. Quote
comicblast Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Supporter 1592. Outstanding model, but I think it would have to be significantly shrunk for Lego to produce it. Quote
BuckeyeFanDan Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 If it wouldn't get produced this large, I would be willing to buy the instructions/parts list in order to reproduce the MOC. Does anyone know if that is a possibility? Quote
