Tracking Weights of Sets

Recommended Posts

I am looking at buying a Taj Mahal from somebody. Haven't seen the box in person yet but it's supposed to be unopened (but with some damage). I am hoping I could at least verify the weight is correct before buying it, since it's kind of a big investment.

Does Lego not release package weight on these sets? Surely that info would be around somewhere.

I looked on LEGO Shop at Home and I didn't see any weights. I then checked Target.com and they had the product weights on there. They don't have the weights for the sets Starpod is looking for though because they are retired.

Hi folks.
I bought a 'sealed' set 8547 from a colleague at work.
It appears to be sealed but 2 of the seals look as if they could have been opened and resealed.
I want to sell this but am reluctant to sell it as sealed if it isn't, so I thought I'd check the weight.
Bricklink says 2157, my set weighs 2072 and Brickset says 2060.

Can anyone tell me accurately the weight of a set they own? - cheers
